Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: You have provided faulty informationYou have updated the letter and that IS NOT the letter that you sent me on July I have attached the letter that you sent me on July and it DOES NOT list my correct addressInstead, it lists an Arizona address and I have NEVER resided in ArizonaI have attached a copy of the letter that you emailed me on July I can only imagine who you sent my personal information to if you sent someone else's personal information to meYour business practices are not up to parI demand a refund of the application feesI was told by a man in your office that I would receive an answer by the next day, which was Saturday, July This was not a business day but that was the information that was provided to meBecause you have consistently provided inaccurate information and there has not been a returned phone call, I again demand a refund of the application feesThis is by far the worst "property management" company that I have dealt with in Hawaii Dissatisfied, [redacted]
Aloha [redacted] ,I hope that you are well.We received your complaint through the Revdex.com.Your account was reconciled on 6/1/and two checks were mailed to Cornerstone Property Management on 6/1/Check number in the amount of $1,containing the tenants security deposit along with check number in the amount of $for the remaining balance left in your accountThese checks should have been received by Cornerstone Property Management around the 5th or 6th of JuneWhen reconciling your account, we paid any outstanding expenses which included repair bill and an early termination fee as the contract was cancelled during the term of the agreement.I have included a copy of the management agreement in reference to page outlining the length / term of the agreement as we as page detailing early terminationIn addition, I am also including a copy of your June statement and a closing statement for the year of 2017.I’m sorry that we were not a good fit for you and I wish you best of luckSincerely, Brent F

submit an applicationIt does appear that we had received multiple applications for this property and that the homeowner decided to approve another applicantAs disclosed in the application, all application fee payments are non-refundable and the homeowner has the right to continue to accept applications until an applicant is approvedApplications are not approved on a first-come first-serve basisInstead we gather information for the applications we receive and try to group the information so that we can review several applications at one timeThe main factors that are considered include credit score, credit history, criminal background, prior evictions, income, employment information, and past rental historyTypically the most qualified applicantIn accordance to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I cannot discuss items found on your credit directly with you, however when performing the background check we did uncover some deficienciesAs referenced in the letter, you can request a copy of your credit report from *** *** ***In general, it takes roughly business days to process a single applicationHowever, this process can take longer than business days if we are waiting for additional informationIn addition, receiving additional applications can increase the processing time as we group applications together and wait for the information to be received on the other applicationsWith regards to the address listed in the letter, it matches the address listed on the application under rental historyUpon our review, it appears that the application was processed correctlyI hope that this explanation is satisfactory

I am rejecting this response because: You have provided faulty information. You have updated the letter and that IS NOT the letter that you sent me on July 7. I have attached the letter that you sent me on July 7 and it DOES NOT list my correct address. Instead, it lists an Arizona address and I have NEVER resided in Arizona. I have attached a copy of the letter that you emailed me on July 7. I can only imagine who you sent my personal information to if you sent someone else's personal information to me. Your business practices are not up to par. I demand a refund of the application fees. I was told by a man in your office that I would receive an answer by the next day, which was Saturday, July 2. This was not a business day but that was the information that was provided to me. Because you have consistently provided inaccurate information and there has not been a returned phone call, I again demand a refund of the application fees. This is by far the worst "property management" company that I have dealt with in Hawaii.

When reconciling your account, we paid any outstanding expenses which included 1 repair bill and an early termination fee as the contract was cancelled during the term of the agreement.I have included a copy of the management agreement in reference to page 2 outlining the length / term of the agreement as we as page 6 detailing early termination. In addition, I am also including a copy of your June 2017 statement and a closing statement for the year of 2017.I’m sorry that we were not a good fit for you and I wish you best of luck. Aloha [redacted],I am sorry to hear that your were not satisfied with our response.The letter sent to you was sent via email and not mailed therefore no one receive correspondence containing your name. The letter itself does not contain any personal information which could be used to identify yourself. In the event that someone did receive the letter, the only way for someone to obtain personal information would be to contact [redacted]. They would then have to be able to answer certain questions in order to verify the identity of the caller prior to them releasing any information. I do apologize if there was an error in the address listed and I will follow up to see how/why this happened as its an automated letter generated by the software which we use. If you would like a hard / paper copy of the letter, I would be happy to mail you one.As I mentioned previously and as disclosed in the application, all application fees are non-refundable. During the background check, we uncovered deficiencies. I am truly sorry that the homeowner chose another applicant.
