Happy Hooves Farrier Services

The reputation of a farrier, Sheldon Thomas, Maverick Veterinary Service, hinges on its reliability and the quality of their work. The first 3x were absolutely tremendous and acceptable! I got charged $645.00 for one shoeing (my shoes) and two clips)

However, from that moment on, he became more moody and sharp, with a sarcastic undertone. HMMMMM
The last week the horses where due for a service.

A voice knocked on my shoulder (mind-wise, so to speak) and told me to hop over to the barn to check. He was just about to pack up and leave.
I asked him if he was finished with the work, and he replied with "YES"

To be sure, I asked if he had already done Pennya and Fiorentino, as there was no visible sign of any work to show. Quickly, he replied with "YES." I noticed him hurrying up to leave as fast as possible, as he darn well knew that he was cheating me for the full 100%, but he snapped the check for $645.00, and gone was he!

Unnecessary to mention that I fired him the next day for the 2nd time.
This person appears to be unable to be straightforward towards his clients and unable to communicate.

Communication is a "WINNER" in all kinds of situations!

As a business owner myself, for 45+ years and having operated nationally and internationally, customer service has always been # ONE for me and is the foundation of a solid business, no matter what kind!

Misbehavior, therefore, affects not only the specific horses under their care but also their professional standing and relationships with horse owners and veterinarians.

As I said earlier, this is the second time and certainly will NOT give him a third chance ever. He discriminated against me because I was not born and raised in the USA and, therefore, took advantage of cheating me and ripped me off with an unrealistic amount of money, $645.00.

He had lost the race already; he started his business one year ago!

HIS GREEDYNESS!
HIS ATTITUDE!

*** has been trimming all of my horses (horses, minis, ponies) for about years now and he is outstandingHe is very knowledgeable in not only hooves but horse all togetherHe is not a back yard farriers and understands each of my many horses have different needs as well as trim schedulesI like to keep all my horse w/o shoes whenever possible and *** has made sure this has happenedI highly recommend him to anyone who is a well educated farrierHe is on time and has never missed an appointmentHe is my second emergency number for my horses next to my vet when something is not going right and I trust his wisdom
