Happy Moving

Happy Movers made no attempt to come to a resolution with their reply. They simple copied our correspondence. They admit to damaging a $1200 TV console on the day they packed the UHaul. They also caused numerous scratches and dents to other pieces of my furniture do to the way they packed the UHaul. I paid them their moving fee. I am not trying to nickel and dime them but I do expect compensation for the major damage that was done to the TV console. (They refused to use a dolly to move a heavy piece of furniture and ripped the ends of the furniture off by improperly lifting the piece of furniture.) . Happy Mover says they will pay to have the piece repaired. I contacted a company in Dallas (where I live now) and they say it would cost $900 to repair but they feel the piece of furniture is a total loss and would not look right after an attempt was made to repair it. To be fair I have asked Happy Movers to pay me directly $900 since that was the cost quoted to me for repair. I have looked on line and to replace this piece of furniture with the same quality will cost $1500. Happy Movers needs to pay me either the $900 I am asking for or $1500 to replace the piece of furniture. I have been corresponding with them since June of 2019. They claim they have contacted someone here in Dallas to repair the furniture. That was over a month ago. I have heard from no one. After almost 5 months I feel they need to pay me directly so this matter can be closed. Instead they just seem to want to keep the conversation between us continuing so they have to do nothing. They make promises but never keep them. Even responding to my complain on the Revdex.com. All they did was copy our conversation instead of sending me a check for the damage THEY caused by THEIR NEGLiGENCE. I have repeatedly asked for a $900.00 payment for the damages but they do not send it.
This company showed up at my home one and half hours late. I had to call and ask where they were. If I had not, I am not sure anyone would have shown up. Then I was promised they would come with a dolly and plastic to wrap my furniture. They came with nothing. I had to send them back to get the plastic. I had rented a dolly and encouraged them to use it. Instead they carried one box at time out to the truck and said they could lift all my furniture by hand. THEY COULD NOT! The TV console was the first large piece of furniture they attempted to lift. They broke it on their first attempt to lift it. Photos are attached. After that I made them use the dolly. I had other furniture that was antique and irreplaceable. Had they not used the dolly other furniture would have also had major damage. I have a doll cabinet made by my grandfather who is now passed away. They dolls in the cabinet were given to me by my other grandparents who are also gone. I told them how important this piece of furniture was to me and they attempted to pack it in the truck without even a blanket covering it!!!! Thank goodness I was there to stop them and made them cover and wrap this piece of furniture. They packed yard equipment and my washer and dryer next to my antique dinning room table. They did not properly cover my dinning room table before piling on other pieces of furniture on top of my table. It has a very large scratch on top now. Most of my wood furniture has scratches and chunks of wood missing due to the move. The TV console is the only piece of furniture that is a total loss and the only piece of furniture I am asking them to pay for. What kind of a company does not pay for their mistake. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am still waiting to be paid the $900 for the damage done to my TV console or they can pay me $1500.00 to replace it!!!!! STILL WAITING!!!!!!!
