Review: I brought my puppy to get groomed and six hours later when it was time to pick up my dog he had major cuts and razor burns on his [redacted] and [redacted]. This was very dishearten and never in my wildest dream would have I ever thought of a company to put an animal through such cruelty. The only responds I was given by the manager is he moved a lot and unfortunately he has these cuts. As a business owner myself I never would have treated any of my customers in such unprofessional manner and give an excuse. My puppy has not been able to comfortably sleep at night with the agonizing pain it has to suffer. I was forced to bring my dog [redacted] to the vet and have him checked out since he was in such pain. Aside from even having the ignorance to charge me for the poor grooming that caused serious animal cruelty I also had to pay for a vet bill. I am very disappointed as to how a animal groomer can operate day to day and butcher animals.Desired Settlement: $60.00 for the grooming and $135.00 for the Vet visit

Hello my name is [redacted] I am the manager of Happy Pet Tails Salon. I am responding to claim id# [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] who is a customer of Happy Pet Tails for quite some time now states that when he brought his beloved pet to get groomed we butchered and tortured or abused his pet for six hours now this is in his own words. I think that statement is out line. Mr. [redacted]'s pet or should I say his girlfriends pet [redacted] is a very nervous pet he moves a lot and in several occasion it has been a little of a challenge to perform its grooming and this is something that we have told Mr. [redacted] and his girlfriend in the past, however it has been in our best of interest to accommodate Mr. [redacted] and his girlfriend's pet and perform and give him the best of treatment that we could possibly can while he is our care.

Our procedure of grooming takes approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on the cooperation of each

pet some take longer than others due to the fact that when a pet gets stress we have to stop, give him a break and work with them so they could feel relaxed so that we could continue with the grooming. On this particular day Mr. [redacted]’s pet was not cooperating so it took a little longer than usual, IT IS OUR DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY to inform our clients of any abnormal behaviors or of any incidents that may occur while their beloved pets are on our care.

On which we told Mr. [redacted] when he arrived to pick up his furry friend that his pet had experience an irritation by the belly and lower part of the body, this sometimes happens on that area on which is a very delicate area, it’s part of the procedure to give them a sanitary cut on that area that’s what's called in the grooming business. We applied an ointment on that area and we explained to him what had happened and he acknowledge that his dog was not an easy dog to deal with.

A week later Mr. [redacted] called the store and spoke to me accusing us on torturing and putting his dog thru such animal cruelty and that we had butchered his dog. It is very difficult to try to fix something after a week or two weeks has passed by on which you have no clue that is happening. I was very apologetic of this incident that happen to his pet, but he did not want to listen he insisted that we did not know what we were doing and we did this on purpose. I asked him what he would like for me to do to amend this incident but he did not want to hear my apology or anything.
