Mr*** dropped off his Fon March 21, and requested a wheel alignment in hopes that it would correct the vehicle pulling to the right. After a complete inspection and wheel alignment analysis, our technician diagnosed that the pull right would not be corrected by the
wheel alignment as requestedResults of our diagnosis were sent digitally to Mr*** (here is a link to that report for your review ***). Mr*** was then spoken to over the phone, our findings were discussed, and Mr*** was made aware of our recommendation that the alignment should not be performed until these problems were remediedIt must also be stated that the $1,repair estimate was reflective of all steering and suspension issues that were found as part of the inspection, but only a portion of those repairs were recommended to address Mr***’s pulling concern Mr*** was then given the option to stop with our inspection charge, to have us repair the vehicle, or to proceed against our recommendation with the alignment. Mr*** then stated that he was not interested in any of our recommendations since it would just be left at a farm/ranch, and then asked us to proceed with the alignment as requestedMr*** was again reminded that the alignment would not remedy his issue. The alignment was performed and all recommended services declined by Mr*** were presented in writing on the repair order. Quite simply Mr*** would like the symptom (pull) remedied without having to correct the underlying causes of the symptomThe wheel alignment as requested will not accomplish this, which is why we recommended against performing it until the issues were correctedWe are sorry to hear of Mr***’s dissatisfaction, but do not feel that a refund is warranted in this situationWe will however continue to honor the original offer to apply these charges towards the recommended repairs. I am rejecting this response because: See attachment. My service request/complaint under Service Requests first star vehicle pulls right. Second star is Service Description Wheel Alignment (1 Ton) charge of $109.95 plus tax. This charge/statement verifies the vehicle was aligned. There are services recommended to customer but it no where states on bill that vehicle was unable to be aligned. Second page is parts they wanted me to replace blaming for the reason on non alignment after charging me for alignment and not notifying me of non alignment of vehicle.
