Dear Revdex.com;
Our work began mid-last year with the authorization given on 05/21/2016. Our task per the invoice was to repair and replace customer's rotting wood on a french door, as well as install new tempered dual pane glass.
We had to make multiple visits in order to complete this custom job. Our first visit was to measure for the glass. We completed the layout on 05/26/2015. We then fabricated the glass and installed it on 06/08/2015. There were no issues with the glass.
Having completed that portion of the job, an addition to the job was made for the rotting wood on a french door. The wood was rotting in spots, and we suggested that the best solution would be to replace all of the wood paneling.
The quote for replacing all the rotted wood panels with brand new panels was $2,899.91. [redacted] stated that this was too expensive for her, and so she opted to only do partial The price to only replace some of the bottom and side paneling with brand new paneling was $1,496.53 (This included the dual pane glass replacement which was already performed).
Since [redacted] opted to only partially replace bottom and side paneling, the end product which was ordered resulted in both old and new wood side by side. This shows a contrast, as there is still dry rot on some existing pieces for which new paneling was not ordered.
[redacted] contacted us approximately five to six months after the partial paneling was installed, and informed us that the seams were not lining up. The bottom seam poked out about 1/64".
Per the invoice, "customer is responsible for any paint and or touch up as required". Those were the agreed terms. We tried our best to meet [redacted] halfway, and even though we are not responsible for touch up, we sent out our carpentry technicians on a Sunday in early February to investigate, and they spent four hours sanding the doors and priming to fix the sudden seam misalignment. [redacted] was not charged for this extra service.
When there is rotting wood in a door, no matter how well we install new wood, if we are not allowed by the customer to replace all other the panels, the existing rot can cause the wood to shift in other places.
We are not sure why there is a sudden misalignment, and if it was installed in a misaligned fashion, we wonder why we were not contacted immediately after the install, and instead were contacted half a year later. However, we still opted to provide four hours of servicing at no cost to [redacted] to realign the wood and prime it for her.
We have tried our best to satisfy [redacted] on this job, but despite the additional sanding and touch up labor we performed, we are unable to satisfy her needs.

I have attached a copy of a word document and a copy of the original invoice dated 5/21/15
