Harbor Law Firm, Incorporated Reviews (3)

Dear
*** ***,
At
Harbor Law Firm, client service is our top priority and as such we would like
to resolve your matter quickly and fairly We have reviewed your account
and requested that *** *** *** issue an immediate refund of your
savings account in the amount of $2635.26.
It
is important that we take the time to respond to your allegations that our firm
has not communicated with you or worked on your behalf. Based on our records, we have had contact
with you every month, totaling over twenty three times, since you engaged our
firm in August At no time have you ever expressed dissatisfaction with
our firm in your conversations with ***, *** and ***. In addition to our contact with you at least
once a month, we have promptly responded to your calls and have contacted your
creditors seeking opportunities to settle your accounts As
you read, understood and acknowledged in your agreement with us, our firm cannot
prevent your creditors from taking legal action against you for failure to pay
your debts. Additionally, we cannot negotiate
with your creditors until you have sufficient funds available to do so
In February 2014, our firm reorganized our
client service department and transitioned to a new communications server Admittedly, we had numerous challenges with
the new communications server that resulted in client calls and faxes being
missed in the latter part of February and March. We have worked diligently to correct these
problems to better server our clients.
We
greatly apologize that you had a disappointing experience with our firm. We wish you the best in your future
endeavors.
Sincerely,
*** *** ***

Review: For over a year now, they have been automatically deducting payments from my checking account. This has been a financial hardship on my family. I have paid them a lot of money, $374.00 a month and they have done nothing. None of the companies that I owe money to were contacted. The credit card company I owed money to ended up settling with out even knowing that I hired them. I have tried to contact Harbor Law firm time and time again. Though no one ever calls me back. I received notice by mail to go to court over the one debt. I called and told them nothing was done. Yet, they still keep trying to take money from my account. How can a company charge money and provide literally no service, they don't even have the decency to call me.Desired Settlement: I want a refund.

Review: due to financial difficulties I was contacted by mail from Harbor Law firms in reference to bill consolidation. My information was obtained by them by another source (creditors, credit reports etc.) I am not sure how they found me. After feeling like I had no way out of paying off my pending debt I contacted them. I spoke to a gentlemen who was extremely kind and convincing that all my troubles would be resolved as soon as I accepted their "bill consolidation program". A representative was sent to my home to go over the documents that I needed to sign. He convinced me to sign a "power of attorney" so that payments of $655.00 could be taken out of my account each month to be put in a savings account to pay off my debt at a 40 % savings rate and I would not have to pay all of the fees charged for making payments. The representative told me "do not pay any of your creditor's because that would show an ability to handle my debt and I would be kicked out of the program. I signed the necessary papers and was told I would receive a packet outlining everything discussed. I did receive a package that included a payment schedule showing that the first two payments went directly to the law firm and the next 18 payments would give about a whooping 45% to the law firm. The next 16 payments would give the law firm $58.85 a month. Their claim is that I would have saved approximately $12.188.40 after 36 months of paying out $655.60 a month. The creditors ambushed me with threating phone calls ,letters and express mail threats. When I attempted to contact Harbor Law only an answering service to pickup and my messages were NEVER responded to. I wrote a letter to end my program to the agency that was taking the payments and requested a copy be sent to Harbor Law and even sent that letter to them. I have never heard a word received my money back for services that were never even attempted. I contacted of my creditors in reference to the Harbor Law contacting them and they all stated that no one had contacted them. My accounts were behind, all of the extra charges attached and to add assault to injury all of the interest rates ski rocketed. The revenue wasted on Harbor Law to HELP me just caused me to be in greater debt and at the creditors mercy for the unforeseeable future.Desired Settlement: I would appreciated my 2 payments of $655.60 returned due to being duped by the scam artist hired to deceived me into thinking that I really had a chance of consolidating my accounts and moving forward without the high blood pressure , anxiety, and depression and financial ruin I am still dealing with.
