I had a great time with Timber TopsStaff was very helpful, Had to move cabins due to no water, but the cabin we were given was a major upgrade! Never had any problemsAll of these people have lost their money, I agree, that is awful, But we were not told until the day of arrival about the water, and they completely went above and beyond to make our stay greatWe saw the damage from the fire on the way to our cabin and it was devastatingBut I believe that the company is doing what they must since they all are individually owned cabins that are rentedI will always come back to Timber TopsAnd when people complain about wildlife (bears and insects) do they realize they are in a mountain region, where those things are?

We stayed in Arbor Point last week. It was a 2 bedroom and 2 bath cabin which is what we required. The driveway was in terrible condition and dangerous. The front step was slanted and after the rains, I slipped on the step but caught myself. The bathroom floor is also very uneven. However, these things were workable.
We got a call at the cabin late Wednesday evening after we got back in telling us we would have to move because there was a water/well issue. They said they had been trying to call me but I had no calls on my cell phone. When I returned home I had several calls on my home phone..... I had 2 grandchildren with me and that was concerning. Their parents were concerned that the water may be contaminated. I asked several times what the problem was and they just said there was an issue. They gave us 2 choices of cabins and since it was around 9 p.m. or so, we said we would move the next morning. We went to the Sugar Shack Cabin which was very nice, however, it only had 1 bedroom and 1 bath. I called about that because we did require 2 bedrooms since my grandchildren are 11 and 16. I was told by the manager, [redacted] I believe was the name, that I was in the same category I had paid for which was over $800.00 for 4 nights. I didn't pay for a category I paid for 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus I did not expect to have to pack up everything to move before we left to come home. We thought about leaving the next day to return home to keep from having to pack up our things twice in 4 days. I did get upset with them. It took away from the time we had in your area and instead of getting out very early that morning to do fun things, it was almost 11 a.m. by the time we got everything packed, went to Timber Tops for a different cabin, got directions, and took our things there. We did not get to do the things we had planned to do because of that. They were disappointed because of the inconvenience as I was. I was not offered any compensation for the inconvenience or the smaller cabin until I had to get angry. They said they would reimburse me $50.00 which is a total insult. I will never use them again. Their cabin advertised as a "luxury" cabin was unfit to rent and we felt it was a total ripoff in sending us to a 1 bedroom, 1 bath. They need to realize people don't go by their "categories" but by the space required for their guests. The next time, we will stay either in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. I hope no one else's vacation is compromised by Timber Tops business practice and greed.

My husband and I a week ago reserved a cabin with Timber Tops. We were not told that the phone-tv- and internet were down due to the fire that happened prior. We arrived on Christmas Eve not having any service. To make a long story short we checked out the day after Christmas. They would not refund us or make any kind of restitution for the inconvenience saying we broke the contract but yet it was okay for them under false pretenses to rent the property.

It's funny that the last review I just read also had to do with a water/well issue. We were told the same thing last week (July 23, 2015). Unfortunately our experience did not end as well as the previous negative review. We were contacted 4 hours before we were to check in to our cabin to be notified that we would not be able to check into it... Not that day, or the next, or at all! They didn't have any other properties to offer us either. We were pretty much up st creek without a paddle. They didn't offer any help to call around to other cabin companies either, until my husband got angry. We were offered a full refund, but that didn't do us much good since most cabins were already booked the day that we were there. There were 12 of us standing in [redacted] in [redacted] with no where to go. Talk about stress! I had called Tuesday (before our Thursday check in) to request an early check in and was told that a request would be put it but they could not guarantee it due to the fact that maintenance was being performed on the cabin. To me, that means that they knew there were "water/well" issues days before we were to check in, why they waited until just 4 hours before we were scheduled to check in is beyond me. Our entire group is from [redacted] so we are a 9+ hour drive to their establishment, we were well on our way... 4 hours is unacceptable. All they offered was a full refund and an apology... Of which I have yet to receive the full refund. I would not recommend [redacted] to anyone, ever. Try to look up reviews on trip advisor, or any review website, they aren't there. There's a reason for that, probably because all of the reviews are bad! They have reviews on their website but, how convenient that you can't add one. They are careless and have no consideration for your vacation or money spent. It's all about the dollar in their pocket, they do not care about their customers.
