After speaking to my dispatchertechnician and service manager I must admit I am confusedAll incoming phone calls are logged into the computer system while the customer is still on the phone lineIn this case, the information entered states the customer requested a tech come out to confirm the
diagnosis previously given to customer by another companyHe stated that he was not comfortable with the previous company. A tech was scheduled to go out at an agreed upon date and timeOur tech was told the same thing on arrival to the job site. As shown on our invoice #*** our tech trouble shot the systems and verified proper operation and found ton system leaking freonReplacement of system was recommendedYes, a charge was made for time and materials used to accomplish this workHad a request been made for a sales call/quote, the appointment would have been scheduled for the sales department to come outWe do not dispatch a tech to gather equipment information for the sales department to quote replacement of systemsAnd we do not charge for a quote. Mr *** has spoken with our office staff, who I feel have been more than fair in offering to reduce his bill to $*** (which is our arrival fee)Our customer is not interested in paying anything. The response is a fabrication.  As previously stated, the reason for my call to [redacted] was to obtain an estimate to replace an HVAC which had been previously diagnosed by [redacted] as leaking freon. [redacted] came look at the system, wrote down the parts numbers from the compressor and the furnace and advise me that Mr. C[redacted] would have to provide the quote.  At no time were they requested to provide any service to a unit nor did they. I will not pay any invoice from this company based on a fabricated service call.
