I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Park Models Direct's deceptive sales practices and fraudulent actions to induce prospective customers to pay deposits to them, in my case this amount was $5,000.00, are unethical and possibly criminalThe bait and switch sales practices are intentionalThe company's response to my initial complaint is dishonest and comprised of a series of liesAt no time were the prices of the options ever disclosed or itemized as requested by me several timesI requested to see the options pricing by item verbally by phone in direct conversation with the Park Models Direct rep, I requested to see the options pricing in a voicemail, I also requested to see the options pricing by item in an emailOf course a customer would request to see the prices of the options, who wouldn't request the prices? For Park Models Drirect to say that they provided these prices at anytime in any place is a bold-faced lieThe prices were not provided to me at any time and they were not available on the websiteThe price that is provided on the website is the lowball "bait" priceThe options are then used as the "switch" to escalate the price shown on the website dramatically higherThis is why Park Models Direct does not want to show you the options pricing or itemize the prices for a customer to transparently review and then fairly considerPark Models Direct wants to bait you with the price shown on the website and then switch you to a much higher price by using the options without showing you the options prices by itemThis is the classic bait and switch and it is a deceptive sales practice.In addition, Park Models Direct will manipulate a prospective customer to pay them a deposit by telling you, "We only have two of the units available that you want, and one of them is pending saleSo there is only one unit leftYou better put your deposit down quickly if you want to reserve that unit that you are interested in buying." After you are manipulated into putting your deposit down, the rep told me to put $8,down but my deposit was $5,since my bank card had a daily limit, then you are told to choose your optionsAgain, at no time will you be given the pricing for these optionsAfter you choose your options you will then be told that it will take months to get your park model home, "since we are so backed up with orders." So the initial deceptive sales practice of getting you to hurry up and pay Park Models Direct a deposit is a scamWhen delivery of a park model home is months out in the future, then there is no hurry to put a deposit downBut Park Models Direct wants to manipulate customers into the sales process, then use customer money for their own short-term financing purposes and/or draw interest off your money while they hold it in their bank accountWhen you request your deposit to be returned you are then told that there is a day waitThen upon return of our deposit we were shocked to see that Park Models Direct had literally stolen $from usAt no time was there ever any disclosure or discussion of any type of fees or charges being made against our deposit if we chose not to buy a Park Models Direct productWe never even knew an estimated price of our park model since the options prices were never disclosedSo how is a customer supposed to make a final buying decision without knowing the price? But Park Models Direct criminally believes that they can steal $from customers when they return your depositThis theft of $will never be disclosed to you up frontYou will never see any disclosure documentsYou will never be advised that any fees or charges will pertain to your deposit if you are not interested in paying the highly inflated "switch" price.Park Models Direct will use deceptive sales practices to manipulate you into paying them a significant depositThey will never disclose the cost of the options to youThey will waste your time and energyThey will hold your deposit for an extended period of time while they benefit from the use of your capitalAnd they will steal $from you when the deposit is returnedThen they will also lie in their response to the Revdex.com in an effort to cover their tracksThey know that they are committing criminal sales practices and manipulating customers to make significant deposits of capital is a separate crimeStealing $from your deposit without ever disclosing any potential fees up front is another crimePark Models Direct is not just unethical, they are criminal in their conduct and sales practicesAccordingly, I am in contact with my state's attorney general's office and I am filing a criminal complaint against Park Models DirectCivil litigation agaisnt Park Models Direct is also forthcoming. In when a company's improper and criminal sales practices are identified by a customer the proper thing to do is to acknowledge the wrong-doing and then correct the improper activityIt is very telling that Park Models Direct chooses to deny their deceptive sales practices and amazingly calls the customer a liar in their response to the Revdex.comWhat possible motive could a customer possibly have for lying? Park Models Direct motive for lying is obviousPark Models Direct is dishonest during the deceptive sales process and then has also been dishonest during this complaint / resolution processAdding insult to injury of the customer is a certain way to aggravate the situationThis situation has now escalated to the level of a criminal complaint, civil litigation, and energized efforts to warn other consumers about this experience across media channelsPark Models Direct is a text book example of using sleazy, deceptive, criminal sales practices combined with a customer resolution program straight out of the stone agesBottom line: Save yourself from a very damaging and deceptive sales experienceDon't walk away from Park Models Direct, Run!

Mr *** knew the price as it's posted on the internet and it also list what comes in the model as standard specificationsHe wanted many options added to the home and had his significant other choose the optionsThe price of each option was given and he had a choice to accept them or notMr
*** called the account executive and demanded his money back along with language unacceptableHe was informed of the process- 1- request his deposit back in writing which is attached 2-The request would be approved and sent to corporate for accounting to credit his debit card his deposit back as we do not have the ability here to do that. 3- that the deposit would be credited back to his debit card within business days after received by corporate. As you can see the complaint was written days after requesting a refund since it was requested at 5:PM on 3/214/and was not received in the office until 3/15/17.Our business practices are clearly stated on our web page and we encourage all customers to read carefullyMr ***'s deposit is in the process of being returned to his debit card less credit card company fees and the fees are clearly stated when he made his deposit onlineAgain we strongly urge all customers to not assume but, read all disclosures carefully

To Whom It May Concern: We are a little surprised by Mr***’s reaction based on his written request to cancel with *** on March 14th as he states how it was a pleasure working with her and that there is a good chance that they will return later to revisit the sales process. Per the credit card authorization that Mr*** agreed to at the time that he processed his credit card online, refunds could take up to days. Mr***’s refund was process on March 28th. Park Models Direct / Factory Expo Home Centers operates factory located sales centers in states and are in excellent standing with all regulatory authorities. Additionally, Park Models Direct / Factory Expo Home Centers owns and operations traditional ‘main street’ locations. We work with national manufacturers who build homes for our customers. Manufacturer’s offer several series of homes that are built to different specifications so customers have an option on the price point in base models. These homes have standard specifications which are listed on our website. Customers have the option to add additional options to the standard specification base price of the home at a charge. In summary, we strive to make sure our customers have a pleasant experience with Park Models Direct / Factory Expo Home Centers. We wish that Mr*** experience would have continued
