We are very sympathetic to [redacted] 's situation and are very regretful that our establishment is where this crime took placeThat being said, I do want to make clear to [redacted] again that 1: the card was swiped for each transaction as it will show on our credit card server; not manually entered as she purports, and that 2: it was indeed an actual credit card; not a gift card or an "obvious fake" as she also purportsHow her card number ended up with this person is up for endless speculationUnfortunately, this type of crime is read and heard about in the news almost every dayBig box stores such as [redacted] and [redacted] have had their credit card servers hacked and countless security breaches where credit card information and more have been liftedI want to assure her that the restaurant is not in collusion with anyone who makes this sort of crime their businessThe credit card that was used looked like a le gitimate credit card, was not a gift card, and was swiped for each transaction

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The card was not present for the transactionI had the debit card in my possession that evening and every evening thereafter, in another state,( I live in Jersey)which is why I am making the complaint against the restaurantThere are one of two things that happened during the transaction ;either the store lied and allowed someone to manually insert the numbers that were stolen from the card to pay for the meal and drinks separate times, or the person used a fake card which had to be an obviously fake, as my card was a bank card and could not be replicated(according to the bank) so the restaurant allowed someone to use a card times that same night without suspicion that the card they were using didn't exactly look legit?

We are very sympathetic to [redacted]'s situation and are very regretful that our establishment is where this crime took place. That being said, I do want to make clear to [redacted] again that 1: the card was swiped for each transaction as it will show on our credit card server; not manually entered as she purports, and that 2: it was indeed an actual credit card; not a gift card or an "obvious fake" as she also purports. How her card number ended up with this person is up for endless speculation. Unfortunately, this type of crime is read and heard about in the news almost every day. Big box stores such as [redacted] and [redacted] have had their credit card servers hacked and countless security breaches where credit card information and more have been lifted. I want to assure her that the restaurant is not in collusion with anyone who makes this sort of crime their business. The credit card that was used looked like a le gitimate credit card, was not a gift card, and was swiped for each transaction.

I did have a conversation with [redacted] regarding this unfortunate incident. I reassured her that this is most certainly NOT a common practice within our establishment. I had several...

conversations with the server to help determine a description of the person who paid the bill in case this person was familiar to [redacted]. Upon viewing the receipts, I did see that all 3 transactions were swiped and not manually entered, so there was a physical card present. I asked if she'd disputed the charges, she said yes, and I said that upon receipt of that paperwork I'd be more than happy to make the refund. At this date, 1/**/15, I am still awaiting that paperwork.

Review: someone who was not me(the card holder),was able to make three separate transactions the same night in the Harlem Tavern restaurant with my debit card information although they did not have the actual debit card in their possession. when I called up the restaurant the [redacted] I spoke to told me that the waitress remembered a young [redacted] male coming in to the restaurant twice the same night the three transactions were made and being very "generous" with the tipping, How that was done without some inside help is beyond me. I have never been to this restaurant ever.Desired Settlement: I want a refund, which is being processed through my bank, and I want the public to be aware that this may be a common practice at this restaurant.. my bank is waiting for Harlem tavern to pull the funds ( the transactions are still pending ) then I can file charges.
