Review: Hello:My name is [redacted]:I called on March ** 2015, on an Ad for an apartment which I saw online on [redacted] I spoke to a guy name [redacted], he told me to gather all my paperwork and I when down to their office on March **, 2015 name Harlem Village Realty in Manhattan located at [redacted] between [redacted] and [redacted] on the [redacted] Floor. I went I met with [redacted] the (guy that takes you to see the apartments) and also I met with a few more named [redacted] & [redacted]; before seeing any apartment I had to fill out an application and give them a $100 application fee. I went and saw an apt on [redacted] the same day on March [redacted] 2015.I explain to them my situation such as I have bad credit etc. and that I needed to move has soon as possible. They told me no problem we will assist you. After I seen the apt I told them I was going to take it Since they told me that things made work out with the process and the management office for which I was applying for the apt. Furthermore; so with that apartment I needed a cosigner due to that I couldnt afford the rent on my own. The following day on March ** 2015 [redacted] called me in the morning and told me go to the office early before 2pm & told me oh you have too give a deposit so I was like ok and how much? He said bring everything so the apartment be secured; they claimed I was going to get it. I gave them all my savings a total of 4 money orders, 3 of $1150 and 1 of $1050 a Total of $4,500. SO AFTER I HANDLE THE MONEY ORDERS TO THE RECEPTIONIST. I ASK HER TO WHOM WILL I PAY TO THE ORDER OF" SHE PROCEED AND CALL [redacted] CAME & TOLD ME TO WRITE THEM TO: [redacted] and [redacted] said that it was going to be send to Management. Therefore when Tuesday came the [redacted] of March, I still didn't get an answer or neither any paperwork (lease) as for reaffirmation of the vacant apt for which the $4,500 was giving (so call "secure" apt). They claimed I was in and they will process the paperwork needed to the management in (question?) the one I wrote the money orders to (as told by [redacted]). Never the less my cosigner decided to tell me he "didn't want to do it any longer because it was too much of a responsibility" (Just my luck). I went down to the office on [redacted] on the same day I called which I spoke to [redacted] on the [redacted] of March. Once I arrived at their office; I told them my cosigner backed up and no longer want to do it. [redacted] claim that if I want my money back he will have to keep a month which that was stated verbally by [redacted] and [redacted] & even [redacted] claimed that it was stated in the application which it's not true. I proceed by requesting to see the documents that stated that fact and we're sign and dated by me which I was provided with none. Furthermore; I'm like saying "what I didn't know about that I was never told". I was under the impression and lead by them if anything doesn't work I will be reimbursed my full amount of ($4,500) -$100 dollars which I paid prior for the application fee. He ([redacted]) said yeah but because of paperwork sent and all that... Mind you that $4,500 was for the so call apt which I was never provide (neither paperwork nor a lease to sign). Due to my disappointment & wanting to get reimbursed, [redacted] stated why not see another apartment which the rent is for less at $950. Which I thought it was more affordable and I could manage that rental. So they told me call me by Friday the [redacted] of March I could go and see the apartment, mind you Friday came nothing, Saturday came and I call [redacted] the agent since no one was getting in contact with me and he said that the apartment on [redacted] was taking on Friday morning by a couple. (So why they even mention that rental when they knew it wasn't available for rent). Than Sunday came I was washing clothes he call me and stated oh Imma go and show you a apartment on [redacted] call me when you done. Mind you I called him that night after doing the laundry no answer, Monday the [redacted] of March came I called in the morning while I was working and he said oh I'm going to show you an apt I said cool. (Which it was no longer the one in [redacted]; don't know what happen to the availability of that vacant apt?) Now he told me this one is on [redacted] meet me there so I took a cab and I met him there. I ask him oh but wasn't this apt taking already he claim that the person ain't had the money, so anyways we go upstairs to see the unit, after I saw it I told him I want it. He ([redacted]) text [redacted] and told him that I was going to take it that day, [redacted] said ok by Friday [redacted] of April of 2015 you will have an answer. I called Friday ask what's the status and I spoke to a new Manager named ([redacted]) and she said she didn't have an answer they just kept telling me "oh it's Good Friday a lot of people don't work and that they close early so wait till Monday 1 or 2 in the afternoon". Follow that Monday I waited I called back at 4pm and she ([redacted]) said didn't get an answer from management. I ask "do I have the apt or I don't have the apt...What's the situation?" She ([redacted]) states well that's the problem we having been able to get in contact with management" okay I said to myself...never got an affirmative answer. So I told her by Monday I want an answer and she ([redacted]) said you will get a answer by Monday. I said fine, then Monday comes April * 2015 I show up personally with my sister and I told him what's going on with the apartment he ([redacted]) said they rejected my application because of my credit, but mind you when I went there back in March **,2015 they knew my credit history for which it wasn't good....and I clearly stated that to them. But they processed saying it will fine and that they had great relationship with these management's for which they wereDesired Settlement: Complete refund because there was never no service provided of a apt or lease to sign.
