Harley Davidson Of Washington/Clinton Cycles Reviews (3)

I want to state that I hate giving Five Star Reviews, because honestly there is always room for improvement.
But even as I stated that above, when a Dealership stops being a Financial Money Hungry Conglomerate and looks at the individual, a connection is then made. Now even though the dealership is going through major growing pains with staffing and the previous lack of Management at the Dealership; I had the extreme pleasure to be able to work with two very new to Harley Davidson Employees.
(1) My awesome and relaxed/no pressure type attitude Sales Associate- Mike, and
(2) Regina... How may I put into words my appreciation for the time you've dedicated to me;
all-while managing the entire Dealership, serving as Acting GM, not that wasn't enough,
even being the Finance Manager for my sale on Monday, September 5th.
Regina sat with me and work out the numbers over and over, I truly did not give the woman a brake, due to the timing and urgency of my own matters, she worked a miracle as to where I may trade my bike in for a great deal and worked out an excellent deal on my new 2017 Road Glide Special , w/ the new 107 Milwaukee Eight! Damn I love that bike, runs cooler, has almost ("ALMOST") equal stock to stock performance with the 110ci which I traded in.
Every person from the parts, clothing/and sales, and management has all been superb. I never had so much attention (let alone the final attention to detail on the parts I purchased where as the man in parts stopped me after and said wait that is the wrong one and let me double check and confirmed it was and took care of me before leaving) placed onto me, and be truly made apart of the family... Lastly, ringing that Bell with Regina and having the Awesome Sales Staff Sound off the Horns throughout the shop was such a laugh! As I head out, I had the pleasure to be Mike's first sale which mean I popped the mans Cherry! We stood proud for the picture as he made sure the final wipe down was done and gave me a complete HD detail/polishing kit (No HD Dealers ever down that for me before in all of my 4 Harley's I've owned).
I'll cut this off now, but get your butt's to HD of Washington DC in Fort Washington... They'e all a Class Act and will truly do everything they possibly can within their power to ensure you get the deal you deserve!
Thank you #HDWASHDC !!

Review: Brought my Harley Davidson v-rod to ft. Washington Harley to do a 5,000 mile check up and check front break and gas tank floater. I was quoted after the bike was put on diagnostic machine a price of 869.00 dollars. We agreed to the amount to fix the front brake, gas tank, and 5,000 mile check up and also a new battery. After about another week we got a call from [redacted] (from Harley Davidson) saying that our bike is ready, but we have bad news-the brake is only working 1/2 way. We were than informed that after they fixed it and it was not working, that they once again put it on the diagnostic machine which presented another code referring to ABS modulator. They said they could completely fix the brakes for another 900.00 dollars in parts and 3 hours of labor @ 93.00 an hour. For an additional 1,200 dollars to a total of $2,069. I was totally upset. I would have never agreed to them fixing the bike if I was informed it was $2,000 dollars.!!!! I did a little homework calling other Harley dealers, and I was told that if the mechanic who checked our bike did a full diagnostic she would have received the proper code to fix the bike (I paid for this diagnostic-and obviously did not get what I paid for) It sounded to the other mechanic that she basically was doing a process of elimination-and in the process-I am paying for it. I feel that I was quoted a price-and that's what I should pay and have my motorcycle fixed. But after many conversations with the manager [redacted], we have in protest agreed to pay $1,500 just because we need to get our bike fixed and back home. And this was the only solution we were offered. I also feel like, what ever happened in this transaction we should have our bike fixed for the original price o $869.00. I can't explain where the error occurred, because I don't know the history of the mechanic and her qualification. But I do know, that if they said I will get my bike fixed for $869.00 that is the price I am liable for. [redacted]Desired Settlement: the difference of $1,500 minus $869.00 that I should be responsible to pay. For a full refund of $631.00

Review: On 9/18/13 my 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Custom Sportster was towed into the business due to the motorcycle stalling. On 10/1/13, the service was completed on the motorcycle regarding the stalling and I was informed the motorcycle was left in good running condition after the spark plugs were cleaned and the air fuel mixture was adjusted. The total cost for this service was $186.00. It should also be noted the business informed myself the labor would be covered with a thirty day guarantee.

On 10/4/13 the 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Custom Sportster was towed back into the business for stalling, the same issue of which the motorcycle was towed into the business for on 9/18/2013. The business stated that the motorcycle was out of fuel and once they added fuel the motorcycle ran without any issues. The total cost of this service was $186.00 and it should also be noted the business informed myself there was a thirty day guarantee.

On 10/5/13 the same day the 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Custom Sportster was returned to the customer, an employee in the sales department walked the motorcycle through the store and were very surprised the service department released myself the motorcycle since they could clearly see the motorcycle was stalling in the parking lot. On 11/1/13, the motorcycle was once again released to myself with new parts added in a total of $126.70 and labor for the amount of $627.75. I was verbally told by the sales manager "your motorcycle better run this time". I was also never informed that the total cost for the parts and service would be in the amount of $774.03. Once again I was informed of the thirty day labor guarantee.

On 11/17/13 the 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Custom Sportster was brought back into the businesses' service department for issues with the electric and lighting. The total cost for the labor to resolve this issue was $46.50. At this point, I had mentioned that if I had any further issues with the motorcycle, I would be taking the motorcycle to a different business who could uphold a labor grantee and resolve issues. An employee in the service department apologized and stated he could have a different mechanic work on the motorcycle this time. On 11/23/13 the service was completed to resolve the electric issue.

On 12/4/13 the 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Custom Sportster was towed into [redacted] Harley Davidson in [redacted], MD due to stalling, the original issue the motorcycle was towed into Harley Davidson of Washington DC in [redacted], MD on 9/18/13. [redacted] Harley Davidson was emailed the paperwork regarding the service Washington DC Harley Davidson performed and indicated the work performed by Washington DC was unnecessary to resolve the issue. [redacted] Harley Davidson confirmed the issue was with the pilot jet which was causing the motorcycle to stall. [redacted] Harley Davidson replaced the part resolved the issue for a total of $109.95 including labor. This was never mentioned to me in all of the above times listed the motorcycle was taken into Washington DC Harley Davidson.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund on all the labor that never resolved the issue of the 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Custom Sportster stalling.
