Received a refund after many attempts to contact customer service via phone. Email attempts were unsuccessful. As a result, I had to go through tech support (via phone) to get an RMA number for a refund. All shipment was covered by the company....

However, the customer service option seems to be missing from the phone menu when trying to get a refund or process a return. I would not recommend buying from Harmon Kardon directly as it is very difficult to return items.
