Recently purchased a new vehicle and received financing from TD Auto Finance. Contacted TD Auto Finance to make additional lump sum payments against my loan. They helped guide me through setting up TD Easy Web and said I could use this mechanism to make additional payments. Turns out I couldn't use this feature to automatically make extra payments. Called TD Bank again. They said I could make a payment by setting up TD Auto Finance as a payee from my [redacted] account with the account number of my loan. Tried this but the payment would not appear as a credit against my loan using the TD Easy Web. Called again... Customer support said that the process would take 2 business days. Waited 3 days and called again when the credit did not appear against my loan. Was put on hold repeatedly. Waited another day and called again. Customer support said I could not use this method to make additional lump sum payments and that all I needed to do was notify them of the amount of the lump sum payment and that they could process it immediately from their end. What a gong show! Absolutely no consistency in reliable customer information. I'm done with TD Auto Finance and TD Bank. I have since taken steps to end my loan with this institution by notifying them I want the full amount of loan drawn from my account. To date, I still have not yet received a refund of the original payment made from my [redacted] account using TD Auto Finance as a payee.
