Refund not received as promised. Phone calls not returned.
I wrote a check for $3,500.00 as a deposit on an apartment (check cashed 8/30/2020) with the understanding that I could cancel and receive a refund. I called Taylor Cox (Director of Marketing) the first week of September and cancelled. I was assured that I would receive a refund (less $500 processing fee) but could take up to 30 days. I have not received a refund. I call (XXX XXX-XXXX) about 10:00AM, 10/6/20 and spoke with Carol who said she would check on this and call me back that day. No call back. I called again on 10/7/20 got Carol's voice mail and left a message for a call back and have not heard.
I just want my refund as promised.
9/9. I spoke with this gentleman for the first time, and with another gentleman as well on Tuesday, October 8, 2020. Both were concerned that they had written a check for a deposit, and had not been accepted to the community and had not received their refund yet. I looked at the ledger and saw that we had sent Accounts Payable a requests for reimbursement on September 2, 2020. I then checked my sent emails to verify that it had been sent. It was. I told both Mr. and Mr. X that I would call them back as soon as I got an answer from Accounts Payable. Mr. said that he would be in for about 45 minutes, then he would be out for the afternoon. I told him I would call him as soon as I heard anything. I called Accounts Payable, and left a message. AP got back to me with the answer that the check for both Mr. and Mr. X had been cut on Wednesday, and would be mailed on Friday. I called both gentlemen and left a message. Mr. X returned my call yesterday afternoon, and Mr. this morning.
I received a check in today's mail. I am satisfied.
