This complaint involves negligence on behalf of Harmony Homes involving product warranties
My family purchased a home from Harmony Homes in During our walk through, we were given every product manual except the air conditioning unit We recently had to repair a part on our unit costing $ We were told by the ***, who installed our unit, that our product warranty was up After further investigating and eventually registering the product on my own, we were not eligible for the extended warranty because it was past days of installation The tech from *** that repaired our unit found the product manual which should have been given to us during our walk through
AC unit not correctly repaired, with issues beginning several months after home was newly built

My house is only years old, and while I understand that my AC unit is no longer under warranty, I had a freon/possible leak issue that began months after I moved in (in which case this was a warranty issue) Harmony's contracted HVAC company, *** had to add freon to my AC unit in April, 2014, SEVEN months after moving in (this was new construction) I only used the air conditioning for a couple of months in Since I am not an HVAC professional, I relied on Harmony Homes and *** to be truthful and to repair my AC unit Fast forward to July of this year My AC stopped working and I had to contact an AC company to come outMore freon had to be added and a leak was detectedThe AC technician is well aware of the poor service *** provides and suggested that I contact Harmony Homes to resolve this issue He
I have had a Harmony home for just under years nowI have to say firstly that I love my home layoutHowever aside from that the level at which they are will to cut corners to build a home quickly is ridiculousSince I have had the home I have repeatedly complained about the upstairs ACThe representative harmony sent the first summer said that is was for the upstairs to be warmer and looked no further the next summer I again complain and they stated that it was out of warranty and to contact a AC repair companyI did and they simply refilled Freon and did not check for leaks (admittedly this is my fault)This past year I contacted another AC company *** *** (great company by the way) and they find a pipe that had not been welded at all in my atticI contacted Harmony homes to at least assist in the financial damage since this was negligence on their partCosting me $and roughly lbs of Freon leaked in my attic (over the years)Also, when I went into the attic
AC units incorrectly designed/installedSmaller unit was installed for majority of the house with wrong ducting for unit size
House was built in Seems we are not the only ones having issues in this neighborhoodHarmony installed a ton AC unit to cool the main portion of the homeThe ducting, including return air setup, is designed for a ton systemThe unit has a static pressure of zero, when it should be -I've already burned out blower and coils, had to close off a return air duct to allow for airflow to occurIt's obvious the wrong system was installed
Return air locations seem to be either a design flaw, or setup for a different home configurationHarmony initially framed out the wrong home, kept building on it for a week, even after we told them it was wrong
Harmony Homes built our home in 2013, nothing but issues as listed:
Installed the smaller AC unit to cool the main house, not the larger unit, hence house does not cool in hot summer, electric bill through the roofLocation of return air vents are a design flaw, static pressure is zero on unit, so no air flowingHarmony initially framed out the wrong house, I told them, they continued to build on it for another week, even after they were told it was wrongForeman was an it, had to be moved to "Customer Care" department
AC pipes were not fully wrapped, so loss of cooling in attic
Contractors dumped trash in center of island before placing counters on top
Harmony ran red water lines to cold water lines because they ran out of the wrong color, pure dumb move! Harmony place a severely rotted and split header above my main window, took an act of God to get it replaced after house closed, so much for Inspectors!
Harmony used a mesh screen on air vent for dryer, fire hazard!
