We filed our taxes with this company the past few years without an issue. This year at the scheduled appointment I was told to drop off my tax information because the accountant had a funeral to attend and I would be called if there were any questions. Time went by and I hadn't heard anything so I called. The woman who answers the phone told me they were about a week backed up because of a software update issue. More time went by without hearing anything. When I was finally able to pick up my taxes, they still were not done and were being completed at THAT time. That same day I realized I hadnt included the tax information for the daycare and she said that I caught them just in time because they file tax paperwork in bundles. She gave me their email address and after sending the information I called back and she verbally confirmed she had received the information. She said that I would be emailed a copy of the amended tax information that was to be submitted. After looking over the returned paperwork from the amended taxes I noticed I was missing some of my paperwork. I haven't been able to get into contact with this company ever since. I have called, left voicemails, and my husband has even made an attempt at faxing them. Still no return call. Th missing paperwork were property and school tax for another property I have. I was ablate obtain copies but they still have the original paperwork. I can't check the status of my refund because on the website it asks for the exact amount of your return and I never received the amended tax information. I have not received a return phone call or email. Nothing. I understand if they were having computer issues or something happened... just be honest and communicate. They were paid for services... I do not even know now if they even filed my taxes! My mother in law filed her taxes the same day we we have and she received her information and tax return as well as people who filed much after us. I do not want to be penalized for not filing!

I am writing this letter in response to Compliant ID That I received via mail on Friday, 3 April 2020.
*** and *** had an appointment for me to prepare their taxes on February 18th, 2020. I was not able to prepare their taxes at that time because I had to attend an unexpected funeral. At that time, I told them they could leave the documentation with me and I would prepare the return as soon as possible and no tax return date was promised. Several circumstances led to a slower than normal preparation process, such as: 1.) Software issues, 2.) COVID 19 and 3.) incomplete client documentation. After the tax return was completed, they realized that they did not provide all of the required information. Once they provided the additional information, we completed the tax return on March 26, 2020 and they have received their refund. All paperwork that was provided to my office was returned to them.

I am rejecting this response because:
I still have not received my rectified tax copy via email as I was told I would. The daycare paperwork was submitted FEBRUARY 28th. And I was informed that the taxes had not been submitted at that time, so they did not need to be amended. All paperwork was in fact NOT returned. I submitted paperwork for a property I have at *** Lakeville, pa ***. I also asked why my *** union dues were incorrectly filed under my husbands name instead of mine and never received a response. We have received our return, but I want a copy of my corrected filed tax return I was told would be emailed to me. The paperwork for the property at *** in Lakeville I have reobtained through ***’s Tax administrators office.

I have emailed *** and *** a corrected copy of their personal income tax returns. In addition, I have followed up and mailed them a hard copy certified receipt.
