Harold's Sewing and Vacuum Center

Review: I took my vacuum cleaner to Harold's Sewing & Vacuum for repair of a frayed cord. It has been over 10 months since I took my vacuum in. I have gone in to check on the status of my vacuum approximately 3-4 times during the 10 plus months he has had my vacuum. The owner indicated the circuit board needs replaced. The circuit board was working and it was not broken when I took my vacuum in. The only issue with my vacuum was a frayed cord. The owner indicated that he has been trying to locate a used circuit board at Goodwill, but has been unable to do so. When I questioned him why he did not order one, he told ME that I would have to look up the make and model so that he could do so (which makes me question why a vacuum repair store is unable/unwilling to locate this information). I again reiterated that the circuit board was in working condition when I brought my vacuum in to him and only the cord needed repaired/replaced. He said he blew the circuit board out. The last time I went to check on the status of my vacuum and demanded that it be fixed, the owner was very rude to me, and stated, "I don't know what to tell you lady." I asked if he was going to make good on my vacuum and not charge me for the circuit board that he apparently blew out, he said no.Desired Settlement: I would obviously like my vacuum repaired and returned to me in good working condition, including a new circuit board at the owner's expense. The circuit board was in working condition when the vacuum was brought in for repair of a frayed cord.In the alternative, I would like my vacuum back so that I can take it to a reputable vacuum repair store, and any charges/costs for its repair be at the expense of Harold's Sewing and Vacuum.
