The truck had codes in it for a tune up and a POtransmission codeIt also had a POsensor codeHe brought the truck back in July 2015, it still had the missThe truck was with us for a couple of weeks having compression tests ran and other miscellaneous engine test to try to determine the problemIt was diagnosed with a blown head gasketAfter being informed of this Mr*** had to decide if he wanted to repair the truck or notHe was also informed of the transmission codes, he wanted to fix the motor first then worry about the transmissionAfter he made the decision to repair the truck, which took a couple more weeks to come to that decision, the heads came off and went to the machine shopIt took the machine shop almost a month to complete their part of the repairOnce we received the heads back in the garage on 11/5/2015, the repair was finished on 11/18/He took possession of the truck that dayMr*** came back about a week later complaining about a vibration which he thought was the flywheel and torque convertor, which he had declined to replace during the engine repairWe replaced the torque convertor, flywheel, and front pump seal for him with no labor charge as goodwillHe couldn’t pay the total so he was allowed to make payments on the laborHis son Caleb came in every month and paid on the billHe was asked how the truck was driving every time, he always said good never complained once about the truckCaleb was always driving the truck when he came to pay on the billThe next time we heard from Mr*** was in July of He brought the truck back in for an engine noiseThe mechanics determined the oil pump had failedThe auto parts store where it came from replaced not only the oil pump but also the timing chain, main bearings, rear main seal, and crankshaft because the oil pump failing could have done damage to all those partsMr*** took possession of the truck on 7/30/He was complaining about the transmission when he took possession of the truckHe was informed that we weren’t responsible for the transmission and that we wouldn’t fix the transmissionHe left in the truck and the next time we heard anything from him it was from his attorney on 11/15/The attorney mailed us a complaint and a estimate for a new motor and a new transmissionWe have done everything possible to make Mr*** happy as far as our work goesWhen Mr*** called yelling and cussing about the transmission that was when the interactions stopped, we will not be bullied into fixing a transmission we never worked onAs far as his motor he never returned or called with any complaints about the second repair
