Harpring Tire Service of Delhi Inc. Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]... we could not figure out how to rebut the response to our complaint number [redacted]. So here it goes. First of all one of the assistant managers whispered to me after it was determined that corporate office could not do anything due to the site being privately owned. His words were "one of our techs left the hood open during the storm".It is a lie that I returned with a complaint of a power steering leak. I did complain of the coils, and they told me the power steering sensor was bad but they were unable to tell me this after diagnostics. I paid them extra money to pressure test to get all of the air out of the system. After hearing the whining of the power steering pump going without fluid I returned once again. As you can see on the door of the building it says that I can see the ASE certification of the technician , not the man standing behind the counter. I boldly requested to see this technicians ASE certification and the overweight assistant manager came back saying that " We don't have it to show you so do what you have to do!"My wife and myself can testify to this conversation.NO they are found to be liars in their response. Why would I want to see the ASE certification of the man behind the counter, as you can see by the picture on the door that I sent as an attachment. Their claim was a lie, indeed the man who messed up my car was NOT ASE certified. As it stands now my power steering pump is destroyed and sitting unuseable.  Regards,
[redacted]

The [redacted] 2004 Kia Optima was brought in on April 7th 2015 for a power steering leak. We inspected and found the power steering return line leaking. That was then replaced and the leaking fluid cleaned off. The cleaning off of the power steering fluid got the engine wet. Which this normal during...

cleaning. We did not leave the hood open during a storm. This is the first I'm hearing of this. Every employee checks windows and hood and doors if it starts to rain. The customer complained that the car was running bad and brought it back on April 0th and we scanned it and found it had a missed fire. We informed them that it may have a bad coil. The coils are not destroyed or the car would not run at all. They get wet when cleaning it and a coil can miss fire if moisture gets in it, which it shouldn't they are sealed. Once the coil dried out it ran fine. They were informed that if it happens when it rains the coil will need to be replaced. We did not charge them for the diagnostics. We explained that to them and they left. The car was brought back several times complaining of a power steering leak. Each time we looked at it informing them that the pressure switch was leaking. The switch is located in the power steering pump not the line that was replaced and that we would charge them for that repair. They felt that we damage it during the repair. We informed them that the switch doesn't have to be removed to repair the car and that they would have to pay for the additional repair. The power steering system has more parts than what we replaced and the only covered item is what was replaced. This is the same for any repair we do. If we had felt our employee caused it we would have been more than willing to replace it for free. Since it was not removed during the repair we declined to fix it for free. Other leaks can occur in the system even after fixing one. This works the same way with oil leaks. We did however look at and fill the power steering fluid for free when they stopped in with the concern each time. We tried each time to explain the situation but they just wanted us to fix it for free.As for ASE certified tech concern every employee is not ASE certified we have 3 ASE certified employees 2 being technicians that over see the employees that are not. One being myself. Currently 2 of our employees are in the process of getting ASE certified. My certification is available to see but was just asked about not requested. We would be glad to fix the car for the part and labor price. We will not refund the repair that has already been don. That was agreed upon before any work began. The car was brought back several times complaining of a power steering leak. Each time
