I spoke to the patient today and explained that there was a misunderstanding on our new sliding fee scale The rate that she qualified for in the past, $, will be honored until her application expiresAll existing applications will be honored until they expire and are usually good for a
year of services We have had an adjustment to our fees that changed our nominal fee and sliding fee scale for dental Her fees should not have been affected by this and the dental staff have been retrained to understand it better We also always stand behind our work and will re-clean her teeth if she is not satisfied She has an appointment next week and said she will see us then. She thanked me for calling her Thank you for your help as this identified a training issues with our staff that we have been able to correct. Sincerely Dee R*** CEO

Unfortunately our store and our staff was brought in to private family matters and thus going the extra mile for them ended up back firingSaid customer's wife came in to our store wanting to purchase a small bird for a gift for her brotherIt was explained to the customers by the owner as well as
staff that we do not normally accept payment or deposits on birds who are not yet weanedThe customers insisted they had to have this bird for their brotherWe as a family run store were trying to accommodate these customers and in the end we should not haveThe brother who the bird was purchased for came to see me, Sara, the General Manager a few days laterHe reported to me how sorry he was but he did not want a bird and that his sister had done this to him before despite him asking her not toI was advised that she has a history of making impulsive decisionsAt the time of purchase it was explicitly explained to the customers that we do charge a re-stocking fee when customers change their mindsThis re-stocking fee includes the administrative time and effort it takes to refund the customers as well as all of the paperwork involvedNot only was it verbally explained, there is a sign by the register stating our policy and it is also on every receipt that prints in our storeI was not willing to issue a store credit as the customer mentioned he wantedWe remained as a business incredibly professional, courteous and kind to these customersIn the end it would of been nice to have been kept out of their family matters
