To whom it may concern:I hesitate to address this communication because of the confidential nature of the attorney-client relationship, but I feel an overwhelming need to respond to protect my hard earned reputationBecause I hold confidentiality to be the apex of my profession, there are
aspects of the relationship that I will not divulge without a Court OrderThere are some aspects of the case that would be a matter of public record, thus I will comment only as follows:I was retained by the complainant to represent him in two different legal cases in two different courtsWe had a total of five hearings, two of which took over a half-dayBoth cases were hotly contestedUltimately, the complainant and I disagreed about case strategy; I filed a motion to withdraw from the case, at complainant's requestOn April 28, the 27th District Court of Lampasas County Texas, after complainant was notified in writing, entered an order allowing my withdrawal from the case for good cause.At the time of withdrawal, the complainant still owed contractually agreed monies to the firmWe last billed him on May 9th, After no response, we stopped trying to collectWe have no interest in trying to collect, at this point, knowing that the complainant continues to have a contested legal matterI don't see any chance of a non legal solution; it appears that we fundamentally disagree regarding the end of the contractHowever, this office has had NO contact from complainant since the expiration of the contract in April.Because of the complainant's ongoing legal concerns, and the implicit sensitivity, for his protection, I would request that nothing about this complaint or the resolution be made publicThank you in advance for your time and attention to this matter
