If you are considering getting solar electric or solar pool heating, I would STAY AWAY from Harriman's in Venice. Their customer service is EXTREMELY poor and rude!
I paid $37K for my solar electric system. However, they NEVER call back whenever I experience technical issues.
Their customer service reps, Dawn and Randy the manager, did not apologize for not calling be back. Randy even told me, "You're crazy if you think I owe you an apology."
They will charge you $133 just for a site visit.
I completely regret choosing Harriman's. I hope nobody makes the same mistake!

Harrimans representatives made every effort to try to assist Mr. with getting his solar electric system data monitoring back on line after he switched internet providers. We are typically able to walk customers through the internet reset process by phone. Mr. was informed multiple times that if we needed to come out to his home there would be zero service call charges. Unfortunately Mr. refused our offers to assist him. Harrimans prides itself on providing quality customer service to our over 24,000 customers throughout our 50 years in business.

We were completely satisfied with the whole experience we received. There are not many companies like this around any more. They went above and beyond to make use happy. Absolutely great from start to finish.

My solar panels were installed about Feb 1st and here it is Feb 4th and my pool water went from 60 to 72 degrees today. Excellent job. I am very impressed and happy with the work..

I was sold a solar program and hot water heater by one of their salesmen who claimed that I would save about $100 a month on electricity. He also sold me on a loan for $50 per month so I would put no money down and still save $50 per month. I never saw a dime reduction in my electric bill. I called them and they said well you must be running your ac more in the summer than usual. It was summer so I gave them the benefit of the doubt hoping to see an eventual reduction. I finally called again just politely asking that some one stop by when in the area just to check on the settings. They would for $127 service call..?. They said some one would call me to discuss and I have been waiting over 2 weeks. Still no call.
Seems like they sold me a product that does not do what they said it would do and probably also received a commission for a loan they sold me on. Not a reputable business to this point.

We do sincerely thank you for your feedback and for the opportunity to discuss your Solar Hot Water system. We performed a complimentary inspection of your entire system on 12/28/17. During that time we found the system working exactly as it should be. Your installation was completed on 5/16/14 and we have no record of any prior issues. In regards to the financing option: Harrimans in no way receives any financial incentive. Conversely we pay a processing fee for every project that is financed. We offer financing to clients so that they have options to pay for their project. While our standard service fee is currently $127.50, you were not charged for our inspection, and we found no issues at your home. I'd be more than happy to review your electrical bills (12 months prior to installation and 12 months after, accessible via FPL's website) to investigate usage both before and after the system. Solar pool pump would not hold prime and burned out
Purchased solar pool pump system 12/30/2015 with a 2 year warranty pump burned out summer of 2017 (1.5 years into warranty) they came and evaluated the problem then stated the pool must of run dry (I have a pool service that comes weekly and I checked weather for summer - no droughts were reported) they stated I needed a new pump at a cost of $1750.00 even though it is under warranty

We have received your request that we replace your pump under warranty. Upon our first visit to your home, on 11/8/17, we found the PV pool pump had been disconnected and cut away from the Pool Equipment by your pool technician. We discovered during the visit that the unit was leaking in several areas. Randy - Installation/Service Manager - contacted you on 11/8 to inform you of what we have found and offered a gesture of goodwill to send a technician back to attempt to repair the leaking components of the pump. During that subsequent visit on 11/27 we attempted to bring the pump back online but due to the fact that it had been allowed to operate without water running through it prior to our initial service visit we were unable to make any repairs. Unfortunately, your unit is ineligible for warranty repair/exchange due to the fact that it was allowed to run dry. The manufacturer's warranty states, explicitly, "This Warranty Statement excludes damage or wear to PRODUCT caused by abnormal operating conditions, misapplication of PRODUCT, incorrect maintenance, accident, acts of God, force majeure, force of nature, abuse, misuse, unauthorized alteration or repair, inappropriate handling/storage or incorrect installation not in accordance with LORENTZ installation and operating manuals." With the pump having been allowed to operate without water, the unit is thus excluded from warranty exchange or return under 'abnormal operating condition'.

all you state in the above may be but in my estimation the pump was leaking so much that it was unable to hold prime, ran dry, and burned out. the reason my technician took the pump offline was that it was sucking in so much air the a/c pump would not opperate.
