To whom it may concern,This is Eric H***I am the owner of HDLI have reviewed the complaint given by Mr***This complaint does not seem at all reasonable given the following aspects of the projectThe deck was constructed during the heart of winterWe used a minimal amount of
straw to cover the concrete footersThere was some straw scattered on the ground but I am not sure how straw would ever kill grass? The main point of this is that grass is dormant in the winter months and therefore cannot be "damged unless it is uprootedThere was absolutely no scrap wood materials left on siteWe have never once in years left anything in a customers yardThe deck only took a week from start to finish so there was not an excessive amount of wear & tear on the propertyWe use no heavy equipment to construct decksEverything was hand carried from the streetFurthermore, the office never received a single call or email about these issues to this dayOur records can prove that the customer made no attempt to contact HDL for these issuesI hope that the lack of complaints that our company has had over the last years of business will give these facts credibilityLast but not least, there is no where in our contract that states any guarantee of the yard not being damaged during constructionIf someone hires us to do a patio they assume the potential for aftermath of the projectIt should be no different with the construction of a deckWe feel this complaint is completely irrational. My Dispute is not resolved, I have called them several times and left messages for benches that I have requested from them to give quote for and they have never returned my calls, the owner is not saying the truth the numbers I called are: [redacted] and [redacted], the first number is for Aaron the guy that built the deck , he answered and told me he will come to give us price for the benches (additional work we told them we want them to do for us) but he never came and the second number is the owner and I left her several messages never returned my calls. This business does not care about the follow up or customer satisfaction .
