Job was to pick up on 11/in ** and deliver between 12/to 12/the job was discounted based on us having a spread to deliverI Caledl the client week prior to her move to see how she was doingShe was upset and trying to cope with the delivery spreadOut of the kindness of my heart I had her loaded exclusively onto her own truck on11/and delivered to *** ** on the morning of 12/NO EXTRA CHARGEClient had damage and called the officeOffice sent claim form. Mrs*** refused to fill it outMy office had an incredible difficult time in dealing with herI called her to explain that she needed to fill out the form so I could move forward on her claim, spoke for a good minutesGot the form back and immediately hired " *** *** ***"Mrs*** was difficult with them, giving them a hard timeThey called her times the day of service and got no answerAround this time I was given notice that Mrs*** attempted to cancel her Credit Card payment to usI had to disprove her allegations and her attempt to hinder us was stoppedEven while I was aware that Mrs*** was trying to not pay us for our services, as well as write online here, I still set up yet another repair service for her in spite of her actionsAll my clients have my email and my cell phone and I can always be reachedMrs*** did not take out any coverage beyond the per lbsand yet I still had the service man fixing her items, because it is the right thing to doAccidents happen and I want all my clients to be happyI will always do my best

Mrs*** *** is lyingShe refuses to speak to our office and has hung up twice on MariaI sent her a claim form and when we received it called her and spoke about the alleged damagesWe actually had a repairman set up for this week but just now found out that she is trying to cancel her

I am rejecting this response because:There are a number of inaccuracies in Jeff H response. They did move up the delivery date but I was not going to hire them based on the spread and they changed the date. I was clear and questioned them about wrapping the bed which I was assured they would do - it was not and my mattress was wet and damaged. My bed was also not put together.I called Jeff consistently and spoke with his secretary Maria asking that Jeff return my calls. For 2 weeks there was radio silence and I did not know if they would ever call. There was extensive damage. I contacted the credit card company to stop payment because Jeff would not talk to me. I only have the Harrington movers number. The furniture person I did speak with and he did not show up at the designated time. Harrington movers hired a different person who did come and put my bed together as scheduled 6 weeks after my move. For 6 weeks I did not have a bed put together. As for the claim form it was submitted promptly there was not any prodding however I have still not been paid, there are still major damages and some pieces destroyed. I would not recommend this moving company and do not feel they at honorable. I tried to work things out as I want this fixed and done. Jeff has not responded nor have I spoken with him in 2 weeks. I did give some of my broken items (dining room table apron/sleeve and rocking chair to have fixed but it is unclear who will pay for this. I do have an extensive list of items broken. My bed was not put together for 6 weeks and it was not wrapped as promised. I would like nothing further than to get this resolved and move on. I am sorry I used them [redacted] was my next choice and after this disaster my friends moving to [redacted] did use [redacted] and were beyond pleased. The issues for me and Harrington are still not resolved and as a business they are not even following up or keeping me informed. I am rejecting this response because:
I have never hung up on anyone at Harrington movers in fact today Jeff H called me and would not let me speak then hung on me. I have no reason to hang up on an employee to what good does that do. Jeff did schedule a repair person and I stayed home and they never showed (in December). He did reschedule another for January 5 which is more than a month since I moved to ** that is more than a month without my bed put all together and so forth. He has not behaved honorable with me and I hope others are aware of how unprofessional they are. What a terrible experience that could have been rectified with a phone call. I called for 2 weeks with no call back and then simply gave up. They damaged my possessions and lack of communications and ownership is what led me to file this complaint.
