I have lived in I would not recommend this water district to anybody . I have had multiple bad experiences with their office manager , she is very rude and degrading . I have lived in [redacted] for 12 years and on one occasion my check was returned to them because my bank made a mistake and deposit my funds to my savings account , I called the department and explained to them what happened they didn't care and still charged me insufficient funds fee and a service charge plus my water bill. They then transferred me to the office manager and when she answered the phone she said Oh are you the one with the bounced checks , instead of making me feel better she was offending me and telling me I should learn how to balance my check book. Then is 2 years later once again I gave them a check on march 25 2016 and for sure had funds in my account well they did not cash it until April 4 and there were no funds in my account until the following day which is when I get paid . So my bank charges me insufficient fund and returned their check so I called and asked how many days until they cash the checks the office manager once again very rude insulted me I told her I did have funds and the bank charged me because they had just attempted to cash the check . She told me I haven't received it yet I told her well the returned it she did not bother to tell me well you can come pay it now and we understand that it has been about 2 weeks so we can give you credit if you pay it now but No she waits and yesterday I find a yellow slip on my door that my water will get disconnected the following day and I need to pay 48+ 25+5=$78 by 9am the next morning and they open at 9 . That really upset me I have seen 5 different occasion where other customers are being talked back to instead of reasoning and being professional about it .
I have lived in Channelview for the past 15 years. My water bill has tripled in the past year. Our water has been contaminated for the past year with a chemical by the name of TCH I just don't understand why we have to pay triple the amount for water that is contaminated
