Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
1. In response to MrCameron N***, Owner
Services and Accounting Coordinators, response to my initial complaint to the
Revdex.com, I would like to clear up some items:
A. I have no
animosity towards the company for their adverse decision against my
credit. I am an adult and understand
that I am rebuilding my credit. I do
however, have an issue with how the company handled the situation after we were
denied. Upon being denied, without a
response as to why, I asked MsMeb G*** to provide a more detailed reason
for the denial and about a co-signer as I had read on their site about using
one. I made it clear to MsG*** that my
husband and I were both working on our credit.
I was specifically told by MsG*** that, "We have a policy that
any credit scores below automatically denies you and you cannot add a
co-signer."
B. I asked Ms
G*** for a copy of the credit report to determine if there was anything that
shouldn't have been on there, when my suspicions were confirmed a week later
and I contacted MsG*** again to notify her that my score has changed
considerably and asked how to go about reapplying, I was met with little to no
assistance in working with them. In
fact, I only received a one sentence response, specifically, "You have to
wait for months to reapply." I
understand everyone's situation is different, which is why I then asked my
husband to call MsG*** to try and get a better understanding of everything. When he called, she was short and rude with
him.
C. For MrN***
to state that "that they cannot provide a minimum credit score to be
approved on any given property," goes against what I was told, which was
simply that was the minimum, not that was the minimum for the property
we applied to. For MrN*** to state
that, one would assume there is no blanket policy regarding minimum credit
scores, however, based on the information I was provided by MsG***, a
staff member, she is clearly not aware
of this or simply thought it best to dismiss me, as though I was not worth her
time
D. The very first
home we went to look at, we were not required to provide any upfront
information to the woman who scheduled to shows us the property. Additionally, the second property that we
were denied looking at did not ask us any upfront information other than my
husband's name. At no time were we ever
asked before viewing a home to provided "qualifying"
information. Which goes back to my point
that if the company has a policy, all staff should understand it and follow
through on it to avoid issues in the future
E. In my statement
regarding the "co-signer," I was simply stating the fact that I was
told "you cannot add a co-signer," even though this was the one item
their company website listed information about.
I was not told that "I" did not qualify for a co-signer or
that my husband did not qualify for a co-signer, just a no. Again, if the company has a policy regarding
this, their staff should understand that and be able to better communicate
their policy or more specifically why a person is not allowed to have a
co-signer
F. With regards to
the 4- months, we have been told twice now that we must wait 4- months, once by
MsG*** and once by someone showing a property we were denied seeing. I will once again circle back to the fact
that MrN*** clearly indicated that it is a 3-month waiting period, proving
once again that staff is not informed of company policies
2. My original complaint to the Revdex.com stated that
members of the staff should be trained, and after receiving this response from
MrN*** it is apparent that training needs to take place. I find it disgusting that a valid complaint
is being treated as me merely having animosity towards the company. It shows a complete lack of integrity,
accountability, and respect for the issues at hand. My experience should not simply be dismissed
because I was denied for credit. In fact,
I am more than understanding of that fact.
If the specific property we were viewing and wishing to apply for has a
minimum credit score, and the company was aware of that, we should have been
made aware so that I wouldn't have had to waste anyone's time with applying as
I already knew at the time of application that my credit was below and my
husbands was above 500. More than
anything, this was the initial issue at hand for me. I am not oblivious to my credit score, and I
am continually working to improve it. I
am not embarrassed, ashamed, or angry that I was denied because of my
credit. I simply wanted to understand
why we were denied solely based off my credit alone. Which in turn lead to a terrible experience
with MsG*** and later embarrassment for my husband
3. I am not asking to be reconsidered as an
applicant, in fact we will never again look to apply for housing with this
company, especially after MrN***'s response. What should occur is an honest evaluation on
how the company handles customers in the future Having set standards that everyone understands
and communicates is key to the success of any company. My questions and concerns at the time were
valid, but were treated as a nuisance. I
should not be made to look like I have a personal vendetta against the
company. I simply used my personal
experience to highlight to the company some rather apparent issues with staff
understanding their own policies and how they interact with customers. 4. I lodged the complaint with the Revdex.com because
after my e-mails to MsG*** and her responses, and my husband's initial
experience with calling, I did not feel that any more direct communication with
the company would result in any favorable outcomes. After being denied looking at a new property,
you can imagine our confusion seeing as the 4-month waiting period was never
correctly explained to us. So, to assume
we were denied from applying to the same property would make sense. Additionally, we were not even aware that the
property we requested to view was a part of the company
5. I end this strongly encouraging Harrisburg
Property Management Group to look into their practices and policies. While most people probably get denied, leave
it at that and walk away, I will not apologize for seeking answers. I had a right to understand my situation with
them. I had a right to be treated with a
little more respect. Just because
someone brings to light some issues, does not mean the end of the world. I am certain 80% of customers have no issues
with the company or the vast majority of their staff. But after 13-years in the military, I have
grown more than accustomed to pointing out inconsistencies to individuals in
order to help them grow. If MrN***
wants to take my complaint a personal affront against his organization that is
his prerogative. But his response to me
clearly shows they lack empathy and the ability to take constructive
criticism.
Respectfully,

November 17, 2017[redacted],Thank you for your attention to this matter. it is apparent that this customer is dissatisfied with our service, practices and standards. Harrisburg Property Management Group is a professional organization that takes its integrity as well as customer service very...

seriously. We strive to always provide the best possible customer service and pride ourselves on doing so, however, we understand that in situations of adverse decisions, there tends to be animosity. It is never our intent to humiliate anyone and we do our absolute best to not do so. We represent many owners who have given us legal guidelines to vet prospective tenants to protect their property. We do not believe we are deceptive in any manner. To schedule an appointment to see a house with us, you must answer some questions that let you know if you meet our bare minimum requirements to be considered but not necessarily to be approved. We manage a very diverse group of properties and therefore cannot provide a minimum credit score to be approved on any given property as if we were an apartment community with one property owner and one set of qualifying credentials. [redacted] states that we have no information regarding our requirements listed but later references that our site states that a co-signer may be required for someone with challenged credit or income below our prescribed minimum; this is just some of the information provided either with our application or through our scheduling pre-screening. As for the four-month period of not seeing a property, it is actually a three-month period, and this is again stated when you attempt to schedule a showing through us. This period is based off the fact that it generally takes somewhere from 30-90 days for a credit report to update so we do not want to charge someone to apply again simply to end up in the same exact position. Again, we take all customer complaints seriously and strive to provide the best customer service possible but understand that animosity can arise when you must present some adverse news to someone on a decision as important as a potential new home.Respectfully,Cameron N.Owner Services and Accounting Coordinator
