[redacted]  The vendor misrepresented the AC as being in good quality.  He sold it for a base price of 139.00.  I could have gotten a new AC at the same of the same size at a slightly higher price, or a new smaller unit for the same price.  The vendor assured me that it was a quality unit.  Then after it failed he informed my that he only runs the AC's for 24 hours.  If they are still blowing cold after that time he resells it.  He has no idea whether it is a quality product based on that level of diagnostics.  According to the vendor he does not even check the level of freon.  I understand the concept of let the buyer beware.  But when I spoke to the vendor over the phone, he said nothing about it being sold "as is".  His driver dropped off the unit, I was not here.  They dropped off the unit on my front porch, and collected the money from my wife.  Again nothing was stated about it bring sold "as is".  There was a notation on the front of the receipt stating "as is", but there was also a warranty written on the back of the receipt.  That warrantee does not say void if sold "as is", or if unsigned.  For that reason, I believe Harrison Appliance Inc, should honor their warrantee.

This unit was sold as is. That was clearly written on the front of the receipt. The unit worked fine for 3 weeks before the customer had any problems with the unit. In my 26 years of experience there is many things that can go wrong with electrical controls and motors. Older appliances are not...

warrantied for many reasons. I called and spoke to the customer personally about this particular situation and thought it was settled. I told him I was sorry for his luck and would call him when I obtained another unit that was comparable .
