Review: I purchased 3 vehicles from this place. I was told to go here from my brother because he is friends with [redacted] (the owner). So [redacted] told me he would take care of me on each vehicle sold and make sure I am getting a good deal so I just trusted him because he is a friend of my brother. I purchased a 2010 Subaru Legacy from him for my first car purchased from him. About a year after driving it we decided to trade it in, the check engine light came on and he said we would need to send it to Subaru to have it looked at before trading it in, so we did. Subaru stated the turbo was blown and needed replaced and this would cost around $4,000. So I called the Subaru dealership and spoke to the service manager and he told me what was going on, so I called Subaru myself, spoke to customer service and got the turbo covered under manufacturer warranty. So these repairs were free. So we purchased a 2008 Infiniti G35X sedan from them after trading in the Subaru. Again, trusting the numbers he said he would make a minimal amount on the deal because he is friends with my brother, I didn't look into any of the numbers and just trusted him. So now I am looking to trade in our Infiniti after a year and he told me I can't because I am $7,000+ upside down in this car! It turns out I was charged the $4,000 for the Subaru repairs when they were FREE! I called Subaru myself to make sure this repair was covered under warranty and it was. I have spoken to [redacted] many times since we started talking about me trading in our Infiniti and he is telling me there is nothing he can do. He is telling me to review the numbers on the invoices to see where his numbers came from and I should have paid attention at the time of purchase but I had full trust in him and his business because he is a friend of my brother. This is absolutely insane to have to pay $4,000+ for repairs to him that were covered by Subaru and he never had to pay to them in the first place!Desired Settlement: I am requesting my current car be valued at what the book value is so I can trade it in like I am trying to do. There is no reason to have negative equity in a car for repairs that weren't paid for from [redacted] Auto. That money went straight into the pockets of [redacted] and ripped my wife and I off in the process.
