DON't BY ANYTHING FROM HARROW'S!!!!!!!! IF YOU DO, YOU BETTER NOT LOSE YOUR RECEIPT.
My wife and I went to the Melville store Sunday, December *, 1016 and spent over $170.00 on a few items, one of which was a light up mesh sleigh. When I took it out of the box on Thursday, December *, 2016, I noticed that a weld on the bottom of the sleigh was broken. We looked all over the house, but were unable to locate the reciept. I put the sleigh in my car with all the packaging and the box and traveled the half hour back to Harrow's on [redacted]. I explained the situation to the heavy woman, who insisted that she was the Head manager of the store and only manager. Although they knew that we had purchased it there on Sunday, they refused to exchange it for one that wasn't broken. She said," [redacted]". What a [redacted]. What kind of Customer service is that? How can a store sell you something and not exchange it with the same item if it's defective out of the box? We weren't looking for a refund, just a nice decoration for Christmas. She said we should call the manufacturer and maybe they would replace it. I don't know any other store, that would not exchange an item, that they knew came from their store. I've been shopping there for years, BUT I WOULD NOT STEP FOOT IN ANOTHER HARROW"S AGAIN!!!! NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!!!

To whom this hopefully concerns,

I have just lef the harrows location at [redacted], and am sorry to say I had a very bad experience.

I attempted to return a pool liner that was purchased on 4/**/15. My wife purchased the liner from [redacted].

My wife was told the liner was available at a special price, as it was a cancelled special Oder. My wife was happy to get what she thought was a good deal, and excited to get our pool started for the coming season. Unfortunately, the excitement of getting a good deal and some pushy salesmanship caused my wife to purchase something we can't use. I am aware that special orders gone bad, and Stock that is normally not carried is aggressively pushed, and sometimes commision encentivised. To cut to the point, when the installer arrived, he advised that we were sold the wrong size, and we had to go out and buy a new liner.

Upon attempting to return, I was told that "special oders" are not returnable. Yes, I understand such a policy, but we did not special Oder the liner. After asking why the special Oder was returned once before (presumably by the party that ordered it the first place), why could we not return also? I was met with an ever growing bad attitude, and raising voice. Each time I tried to calmly reason with [redacted], her attitude got nastier, and voice grew even louder. I asked her 3 times to please not talk over me, and lower her voice. She let me know she was done talking to me by flinging my recipt back at me and dismissing me entirely.

I returned a short time later to ask for the corporate number. I called the number immediatly, and got the sales staff at the store I just left. Nice. I was then told I did not return the liner in sellable condition. It is in fact still sealed and plastic tied from the factory. I will admit that the cardboard is now wet from the rain, and some dirt is definitely on the cardboard. I feel this is an extremely thin excuse to hold my family's 434.49. Your card says "the company that cares" that begs the question cares about who ?

So at the moment my family is out $400 and change and I got yelled at by an irate salesperson who does not want to take a return of unwanted merchandise. Please quickly respond and return my money, for a liner that I have NO use for. Harrows does not want to keep my money for an item I can't use? Or do they ? I do not want a credit. I want my family's money back. I'm sorry, but I will not shop at a store that allows the like if [redacted] and her nasty attitude. My next inquiry will be to the Revdex.com.

Customer was told multiple times by salesperson that all liners are non refundable at the time of sale. The customer also signed the charge slip which reads all "all sales final, no refunds". The receipt clearly states "non refundable" and the size of the liner in BOLD "15x30x48/52" as the size. This liner was picked up and paid for by a DIFFERENT person than who is making this complaint (see attached documentation). They must not have known the correct size of their pool? Harrows cannot be responsible for incorrect liner purchases which is why we have the customer sign and make such notes on all receipts. The customer who made the purchase stated many times to the salesperson that the size was correct. The condition of said box was COMPLETELY unsellable....dirty and wet and torn. We would never try to pass an item like that to another customer as a new item. We are sorry that the customer who purchased this item did not know the correct size of their pool. Unfortunately we cannot offer a credit or refund on liners as the policy states. We will offer a 20% discount on a new liner if they wish to purchase the correct size.

Review: I bought a fake Christmas tree, with lights already wired onto the tree. I bought the tree after Christmas last year on sale, with hope to first use it the following year. I open the box yesterday, assembled tree, carefully following the directions. The top section would not light up. I called the [redacted] of the store, [redacted], who refused to exchange or refund citing their no refund, no exchange policy.Desired Settlement: Replacement

Review: I purchased a Willowbrook Charleston fire pit with four cushion chairs on May**,2014 I explained to the sales person ([redacted]) that I was doing some work in my backyard and I was not ready for the item, the sales person mention that I can lock in on the sale price now and have the merchandise delivered when I was ready which would be in the month of June ** 2014. when the delivery company delivered my merchandise and set up all the items except one chair, they (delivery personnel)mentioned that the screws was missing so they could not assemble the chair, I mentioned that I was not going to accept the merchandise but the delivery person called his [redacted])from select delivery service, and he mentioned in this type of situation the procedure is to return the one item and a new item will be delivered the next day, that never happened. I spoke to [redacted] at the store several times from 06/** thru 06/** on 06/** a chair was finally delivered not a new chair but a chair she said was from her floor (a floor model) and even that item was wrong the cushion were not the same color that I purchased, they were a lighter color and she went on to say that was impossible, I had to adamantly explain that the cushion were of a different color. In my disgust with her comments and tone of voice which was raised, coupled with my anger she proceeded to hang up the phone not resolving the issue in a professional manner all of this took place along with the wrong delivery at approximately 8:30 pm est. on 06/**/2014 Please be mindful that I paid $2286.65 in full and to date I still don't have my complete set, nor the courtesy to handle the situation in respectable, and satisfactory manner.Desired Settlement: Not only would I like the merchandise I paid for, I would also like to be compensated in some manner for my inconvenience the rude behavior of the company representative and the mental anguish I felt of being so helpless, used and violated and disenfranchised. please help resolve this matter

Saw a 6 foot blow up nativity set before Christmas for 99.99. After Christmas ad is 50% off and then an additional 30% off. The store penned in a "2" before the preprinted price making it $299.99. associates were nasty when questioned. Store manager said take it or leave it..if you dont like it its too bad. False advertising. Price gouging and an insult to their customers intelligence. Picture available upon request. Customer lost for illegal business practices and false advertising.

Review: I purchased OUTDOOR furniture, 4 chairs, table, umbrella. delivered/set up June [redacted]. by July after onlyone or two rains the chairs began to rust. called store and was told to take pictures and email them, which I did. no response. went to store and was told the items were made of steel and thatsteel rusts. nothing they could do about it. the tags attached offer 1 yr warranty, but indicates that if the coating on steel products is compromised it can rust,However, the coating is not rusting but the rust is coming from inside the pieces. the stains are also damaging the deck on which they are placed. but the store manager didn't want to talk to me at all.Desired Settlement: I would like them to take back the chairs or replace them with others that won't rust. the table isfine, as is the umbrella.
