Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The individual of the business that wrote the response, either was not present or has selective memory While I did stop the womam from getting out the surveilance tapes because of my time constraints, as I walked out I suggested that they look at their tapes and confirm that I did not leave my part on the counter and that she had taken it to the back I later called to see if they had looked at the tapes to confirm my memory of the incident, but the woman denied that I had made such a request, so I could only assume that she either did not hear me or did not understand what I said I did then talk to the man that can look at the tapes, and he refused to look at the tapes for himself, then he hung up on me
Their attitude showed a lack of concern and a total disregard for the veracity of their customersWhile I had intended to take some of my business to them because of their location, I don't feel that they are trustworthy, and I will tell anyone I meet of my experience with them.Sincerely,*** ***

Many of *** products do not come assembled from the factory and each independent dealer has to learn how to properly assemble each unit
In the six years I have worked for *** I have assembled hundreds of units and the loop handle assembly that Mr*** brought in has never been something
that I have seen come assembled from the factoryThe loop handle assembly has a barrier bar with two square nuts that fit down inside the barrier barOne of these nuts was put in upside down causing one of the screws to strip out*** warranty policy on string trimmers is two years parts and labor for factory defectsI tried explaining to Mr*** that the screw was stripped out because the dealer he had purchased it from assembled the unit incorrectly, therefore it was not a *** warranty, it was something the Portland dealer would have to take responsibility forI tried showing him at the counter that the nut was upside down and he was very dismissive of anything I had to say and told me to just order him another oneI gathered the customer's information and he left the shop, also leaving the part I had just been showing him on the counterWe have limited shelf space so we do not have room to store parts abandoned on the counter, and since he showed no interest in the part or what I had to say I thought nothing of throwing the part awayWhen the customer came to pick up the part I tried explaining to him for a second time why the part was not our responsibility to pay for and he started raising his voice at me in front of other customers and a fellow employeeWe did not charge the customer for the part at the time it was ordered. He was told he did not have to pay for and take the part if he did not want to, however he made the choice to pay for and take the part stating it was, "too inconvenient for him to go back to Portland." The customer was told tapes could be pulled up showing him leaving the part on the counter and that I would just have to run and get John to do soWhen I started walking away to find John, Mr*** changed his mind and said forget itHe called back later in the afternoon and said he had changed his mind and wanted the recording pulled upHe was told since he had had the opportunity to have the tapes pulled up earlier and declined, we were not going to waste any more of our time on the issueHe was told he could still come in and return the part, which is when he started yelling at John and the phone was hung upThe customer will always be welcome to come back in and return the part he was sold for a full refund
