Hartford Fence did a incredible job installing our fence. Their ability to listen to all of our concerns and react to every thing we asked for was so obvious when the job was completed. This is a company and Jordan is an owner that wants to please his customers.

the Revdex.com. [redacted] is one of my favorite customers of all time, and a truly awesome woman. Her [redacted] companion bring a lot of joy to her life, there is never a dull moment with that puppy. That dog is in fact the reason [redacted] reached out to me in the first place; to build a fence around her back yard for dog containment. She was so thrilled with the work, we went on to do a custom gate for her deck, as well as a new mailbox post in front of her home. It was a truly gratifying experience doing quality work for this woman. She would go on to post a 5 star review for the work we did on these projects on two trusted resource websites, which told me I had managed the project well and we delivered on what we said we would do.    Over the winter, I sent a crew to shovel, plow, and snowplow at her home when we were struck with a flash snow storm. We only do commercial snow removal, but, I wanted to show [redacted] how important she was, and that I was really fond of her as a customer. After that, she hired me to manage a project installing a large custom paver patio. I contracted this out, and while the patio looks great, I had to work extra hard on the communication end of things because it was certainly not the strong suit of the stone contractor. The project completed, and the patio looked awesome. On that same contract there were a few electrical items that were to be handled by an electrician associated with the stone contractor. He didn’t end up doing them (install an exterior power outlet by the patio, and put in a motion sensor light on the shed) so I hired [redacted] who owns [redacted]s Electric to handle the project. I paid $500 out of my own pocket to have an electrician I knew and trusted do quality work for [redacted]. She also complained about some landscaping issues, however would not speak to me personally or allow my crews to resolve; no problem. I called [redacted] the owner of [redacted], who went out, met with [redacted] to discuss the scope of work. [redacted] followed up with me, I told him I was covering the cost no matter what it was, and to just do quality work for [redacted]. He completed what was asked of him directly by [redacted], and I paid out another $500 to this contractor. I told [redacted] to have [redacted] call me to confirm she was happy with everything, however the message I got back was “I will not be calling Jordan”. And she doesn’t have to, because no matter what, Jordan always makes sure to take care of good people, even when they are confused or angry about something else and direct it towards him. I do not take anything personally. I simply remember what is important, and in this case, [redacted] was important to me. So I made sure to continue to take care of her and any issues she had no matter what.    Jordan C[redacted] Hartford Fence Co. [redacted] ###-###-#### [redacted]

enjoyed working with him, and I was extremely frustrated with him and for him because as the contractor I was pretty helpless in this scenario, as all complications were caused by the vendor / manufacturer.   Just prior to completing [redacted]’s fence 1 day ahead of schedule, as I had doubled up the crews on just his job to expedite things (because Christmas was right around the corner) we got to the front of his home, where we encountered a significant grade (slope) coming off the house. This is where the last panel as well as a gate needed to go. I presented [redacted] with two options. I had my landscaper, [redacted]l from [redacted], go out and meet with [redacted] to provide him with a quote for brining in 5 yards of top soil and leveling the grade so we could complete the job. He declined on that option, as he was not interested in the cost associated. He chose to go with a custom graded panel and custom graded gate. I ordered these items from [redacted] out of New Jersey. They were a primary vendor of ours, and supplied the vinyl fence we used on this job. We were promised the section and the gate in 5 days. They took a deposit, and over the course of the next 4 weeks would continue to tell us they were sending the order “the next day”. What was actually happening is they were going out of business, and robbing customers left and right, burning their own suppliers on monies due, and not paying employees until everyone left. We were finally able to get the material when a former [redacted] employee quit and contacted us and got us the gate and the panel on his own accord.   The job was completed the following day we received the material. Upon completion, I personally called [redacted] and spoke with him. I apologized again, and asked if he was satisfied with the work, to which he said yes. I sent him the final invoice and gave him an additional $500 off the balance due. He paid in a timely fashion.           Jordan C[redacted]   Hartford Fence Co. 559 New Park Avenue West Hartford, CT 06110   ###-###-#### hartfordfence.com

Review: This started off as a very pleasant experience, and then it went off the cliff once payment was made.

I hired Hartford Fence to install a Vinyl fence. This was done in January. I got very cold and we had a lot of snow, so the fill around the fencing was not completed. This was agreed upon by Jordan C[redacted] and myself. I then spoke to Jordan about some pavers that I wanted to get to form a patio. He subcontracted this out. He wrote the contract which also included a new outdoor outlet and a motion detecting light on my shed. The electrical work and lighting was to be handled by Jordan, and the patio was handled by another firm. The patio was finished in May 2015. I told Jordan that I would have him finish his job when I returned from a vacation I had planned in May.

I have tried unsuccessfully to get Jordan to finish his work, which I have already paid for. I know, that was a big mistake. I call and leave messages for him to call me. He never returns my calls. I actually spoke to him on 8/17/15. He said the electrical work was given to "[redacted]" at [redacted] Electric. Jordan said he would come that week and look at the landscaping. He never showed up, and I never heard from "[redacted]". I have called more times with no return call.

Do I have any recourse? The jobs have not been completed. My back yard is a mess with weeds.Desired Settlement: I do not want to work with Jordan C[redacted] or his company Hartford Fence ever again.

I want payment so I can get the work done and completed before winter.

I need an electrician to do the wiring for the outlet and the motion light.

I need a [redacted]r to fill where necessary and reseed all around the fence.
