temperature, recorded a weight, listened to heart and lungs, checked in the kitten’s mouth for lesions, and gave a vaccination. Mr. [redacted] stated upon check in at the front desk that he had financial concerns. Mr. [redacted] also expressed to Dr. [redacted] his financial concerns.  The Dr. only performed the services he requested. He was only charged for an office visit, kitten vaccination and oral antibiotics.  He declined all other medical recommendations.  We did a nail trim on the kitten at no charge. On 1-17-17 Mr. [redacted] called and talked to [redacted] a receptionist at our office. Mr. [redacted] wanted to know what a physical exam included. She explained to him what an exam includes and that one was performed on his kitten and was documented on the file. He stated that we did not do an exam on the kitten. He was also very upset that the kitten had fleas and we did not tell him that we saw fleas. We did not see any evidence of fleas at the time of the examination. He was very rude and belligerent to [redacted]. He wanted to know what she was going to do for him. [redacted] told him that she would have the office manager call him. The office manager [redacted] called him and had a very long discussion with him. She explained that the doctor made detailed notes on the file about the physical exam. He said “Well that doctor can write whatever she wants on the file but that does not mean she did it.” [redacted] told him if he was that unhappy and did not trust our doctor that she will refund his $40.00 office visit charge and could send him his records so he could find another vet and then Mr. [redacted] asked “Are you threatening me?” She also explained to him that fleas can be on an animal and evidence is not always seen. He stated that he had a flea problem in the past with his own dogs. [redacted] offered to give him a free flea preventative for the kitten. [redacted] also offered to do a complimentary office visit and another physical exam with a different doctor at his next visit. Mr. [redacted] was again very rude and raised his voice several times during his conversation with [redacted].      On 2-1-17 we attempted to call Mr. [redacted] and remind him of his appointment the following day. The receptionist could not get through to his phone number. His number had a very strange ring and never allowed us to leave a message.  Mr. [redacted] called back and asked why the office called him we explained to him that we were confirming his appointment. He asked if we were going to try to call him again and we said No, that we tried twice and that we would just verify his number tomorrow. Mr. [redacted] became very belligerent at this point and said we need to ‘Get our [redacted] together.’ and [redacted] said when the cursing began that she would mail him his records and he could go to another veterinary clinic that could satisfy him and make him happy. [redacted] told him that we have had only one contact with him and his pet but we have had three different phone calls where he has been unhappy with our services and has been rude and disrespectful to our staff. At this point Mr. [redacted] said that he would “Call an office that knew what the hell they were doing.” [redacted] said I am sorry you feel this way but I am going to mail you your records today so you can take them with you to the new vet and will have a record of what services we performed at Harvest Plaza Animal Hospital.       We offered several times to give this client a flea treatment at no charge or follow up free exams. He was rude and combative to any such offers.  At this point, we are severing all ties. If the Revdex.com feels we should refund his money that is what we will do.
