 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because I, along with other professionals in the automotive repair business, feel that although the vehicle was sold as is based on the information provided by [redacted] automotive, that information was misleading and fraudulent, leading to my purchase of the vehicle. I was told and have email confirmation that the vehicles frame was solid but upon visual inspection is not. I will provide written confirmation that the frame is indeed rotted and this inspection was done by a business that specializes in [redacted]s. I can also provide written information from my inspection station stating that this [redacted] cannot and should not have been inspected. [redacted] claims the [redacted] carried a current inspection but according to vehicle inspection code, the vehicle should not have been inspected, My next move will be to contact legal authorities as well as state police, who have informed me to bring the [redacted] in for them to inspect and they will take proper actions.  A refund of my money paid to [redacted] automotive will solve the matter as well as additional charges will be dropped.
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: At the end of June 2014 I purchased a 1992 [redacted] from [redacted] located at the intersection of rt [redacted] and rt [redacted]. My attending sales person was named Don who told me he was in charge of auto sales. Don did inform me that the purchase of the vehicle was as is and I believed this as is was based on his verbal portrail of the [redacted]. Don told me the [redacted] did NOT have frame damage and that he would personally vouch that fact. After the purchase I've discovered through my machanic the [redacted] did indeed have frame damage to the extent of repair of $1500. plus.

Don would not take the [redacted] back but insisted it was as is purchase but lied to me about the [redacted]s condition.

I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND OF $3,000 FOR MISREPRESENTATION OF THE VEHICLE.

I actually thought this was a reparable dealer until I found myself betrayed, misinformed and now stuck with junkDesired Settlement: Money of 3.000 returned in exchange for [redacted]

I am writing back in response to the complaint received through the Revdex.com site, Revdex.com complaint ID: [redacted].The [redacted] we sold on 6/28/2014 to John M[redacted] was sold “AS-IS" due to the fact, that all vehicles we sell under $5,000.00 are not eligible for warranty through our warranty company. The [redacted] had a current PA state inspection, as well as emissions sticker. The 1992 [redacted] was checked out by our ASE certified master technician prior to sale. The [redacted] had no visible FRAME DAMAGE | Frame rust (that would indicate a hole in frame) at time of sale. The owner did notify me a few days after purchase that he wanted a complete refund due to the fact that he took the [redacted] to a transmission shop, and they told him the jeeps transmission cross-member had rust and also the bolts which hold the cross-member to the frame would not come out and would break once they would attempt to remove them to service the transmission. This cross-member is not part of the actual frame rail, and is removable. However, our initial inspection did not require us to remove the cross-member for any reason. The [redacted] was sold “AS-IS" without any warranty either expressed or implied, the contract asso discloses that the purchaser will bear the entire expense of repairing or correcting any defect that presently exists or that may occur in the vehicle. Mr. M[redacted] was aware of this, and signed a legal contract which described all of this. Sincerely,Donald *. P[redacted]General Manager ,
