Company responded by phone 2/12/15-[redacted]Mr. [redacted] states that he will fax over the agreement that was signed by the consumer. He states that they try to help consumer get the lowest rate possible and that is why the contact multiple companies.  He states that they are unable to have the banks remove the reports from the consumer credit and states that it is up to the banks.

Company responded to the complaint by phone 2/10/15-[redacted] Mr. [redacted] states that they called the Michigan location and the location advised them that the car was sold. He states that the company was unwilling to sell or trade the car to them, so it was not them lying to the consumer, they...

state the Michigan company was not truthful with them. He states that the consumer must have called himself and they agreed to sell it to the consumer. He states that it is not unusual. Mr. [redacted] states that once they receive a signed credit application they run the application. He states that it take about 30 seconds. so even if consumed cancelled within 5 minutes the application was already being processed.Mr. [redacted] states that the prices are listed minus the rebate to the consumer. He states that since not all consumers are qualified for the 0% financing for 72 months, they still get some assistance with the purchase . He also states that consumers can not get both the rebate and the 0% financing. He states that the submit the application to multiple banks in attempts to get the consumer a lower rate which would allow them to take advantage of the rebates. Mr. [redacted] states that as far as the inquires are concerned the consumer would need to contact the banks to see if they will remove the marks but he had no control over that

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Mr. [redacted] did not receive a signed credit application to send to other banks. Mr. [redacted] did not receive my authorization to send any information to any third party banks whatsoever. Mr. [redacted]'s staff questioned if I would like to pursue this option - I stated "maybe", and they proceeded to pursue obtaining credit loans on my behalf without my authorization. I did not tell his staff "Yes", I told them "Maybe". Mr. [redacted]'s staff blatantly took my information, which was trusted for them to send only to Ford Motor Credit for verification purposes, as I was already pre-approved - and sent my information to three separate banks.I request that Mr. [redacted] and his staff assist with this matter in having these hard inquiries removed from my credit report or to provide monetary value to compensate for consumers time spent contacting the banks involved to attempt to have inquiries removed.

This credit application was filled out with the following offering code from Ford Motor Credit: [redacted]Consumer was applied for Ford credit through a separate dealership not associate with Gillingham Ford and was approved for Ford Motor Credit at Tier 0 - Best Possible Rates.Consumer chose to take Ford Motor Credit's offer for 0% Interest for 72 Months with 0 Rebates.Consumer told this to Salesman and Sales Manager.This credit application was filled out with the offering code for verification purposes only so that Gillingham Ford could verify that my application was already approved through another dealership.After consumer was approved for Tier 0, at best possible rates, Gillingham Ford, at their own liberty and without my authorization, after consumer explicitly stated "No", ran consumers credit through three lenders for the purpose of what they claim is to "obtain the best rates".This reason does not hold up as consumer already had the best possible rates available - consumer was already approved and had accepted a 0% interest loan through Ford Motor Credit.Gillingham Ford could not obtain lower than 0%, Gillingham Ford was told by consumer not to go elsewhere because consumer would be going through Ford Credit.A signed credit application does not granted Gillingham Ford the authorization to run consumers credit after they have already agreed to accept another lenders loan offer.Consumer still requests Gillingham Ford to assist with the removal of hard inquiries on consumers credit report or if Gillingham Ford states that is not possible, monetary values to compensate for the time consumer will have to spend to do so or the credit points lost due to the frivolous credit applications ran on consumers behalf without authorization.
