ILesdvtganva 1 rating ; negative 10 ; I know so many people & other Taxidermists who think & have voiced their opinion that Johnny Hatawsybis a POS . I never used anyone for my mounts but Johnny : deer , turkey , ducks & Elk . That MF has had a 330 6x5 bull elk of mine fir 8 years . He’s a lyin sack of shi t & has done a lot of people this way .

Non delivery of caribou mount.**. [redacted] has had a caribou mount of mine for over 5 years. I have called him repeatedly and he would promise to deliver it, then never show up. Now when I try to call him his voicemail box is full. I just want my mount. Desired SettlementI would appreciate it if he would talk to me and give me a firm delivery date and then follow through. If there is a problem with the mount I would like for him to tell me the truth. The only settlement I am seeking from **. [redacted] is for him to deliver the mount to me or get someone to deliver it to me.Business' Initial Response I spoke with the customer today (9/4/13) and have completed his caribou mount and will be delivering it to his home on Friday, September 6, 2013.

Complaint[redacted] possesses a [redacted] turkey that I sent him for taxidermy. He has been paid in full with the exception of freight but has not delivered.Hataway Taxidermy was sent a crate via [redacted] on 3/14/2013 that contained a trophy [redacted] wild turkey. He was sent a check for $300.00 for the taxidermy fee. I have been communicating with him on a quarterly basis since the 2013 and each time he has stated that he would sent the turkey using my [redacted] account number prepaid. I have numerous text messages that have been sent as well.Desired SettlementDelivery of my wild turkey in good condition and with taxidermy completed.

Has my money and my ducks. Will not return calls.I dropped 3 ducks with[redacted] Hataway around 2 years ago. His commitment was to have them done within a year. I paid him a deposit on each when I dropped them off. I have tried to contact him several times, and he has not answered his phone. I understand he was raided by TN Game and Fish this past summer. Desired SettlementI would like the hen pintail I dropped off ASAP. It was my dogs first duck, and I'd like it back while he is still old enough to retrieve. As for the other two, I would settle for getting my money back now, or my ducks completed by the end of the month.

No delivery of services & unable to contact Hattaways .Droped off a turkey to be mounted about 5 years ago along with the deposit requested by Hattaway.Since then I was promissed a delivery date of October the following year.Overtime I have called and put in a message via voicemail with no response back .Now when I call the phone goes stright to voicemail.Would like to get my turkey Hattaway does a great job .Desired SettlementI would like to recive the turkey that I droped off mounted in full strut on a ceder or barnwood pedestal base like I requested .Business Response I am working on completing this customer's mounts and will have them ready to pick up on Tuesday, January 21st. Mr Hattaway has two deer and my deposit money. One of the deer he has had 4 years.Mr Hattaway was hired to do taxidermy work on a buck deer my son shot 4 years ago and a doe my younger son shot 2 years ago. I have called and left messges in the past but now the answering machine is full. I have been advised by the Shelby County Sheriffs office Hattaway has many, many anmals in his shop but they could not id mine...Desired SettlementI would like[redacted] Hataway to to deliver my property. If something has happened to my property I need to know. Non delivery of swan and pheasant mounts for 3 years. I have called and emailed him repeatedly and he would promise to deliver but never show. In the fall of 2010 I deliverd a swan and pheasant to be mounted and payed him a 400 dollar deposit, with 400 due upon delivery. He first promised me they would be delivered in March of 2011 which they were not. Since that date he has promised me several other dates that never materialized, by Thanksgiving of 2011 and again by Thanksgiving 2012. In February of 2013 I told him if he was too busy to complete them by March 31, 2013 I would like my deposit back and the mounts so I could take them elsewhere, and he agreed, but he kept putting me off and the last message he left me was the would be ready in June, but since then his phone has gone straight to voicemail and he has not responded to my e mails. I have been by his home and shop but I get no response. He is a good guy and good taxidermist but I want my mounts. Please help.Desired SettlementI want my mounts completed and delivered by the end of November, or I want them back uncompleted along with my deposit immediately. I paid a $200 deposit a year and a half ago for work that has not been done. Numerous attempts to communicate with Hataway with no response.In [redacted]. 2013 I gave Hataway Taxidermy two ducks to mount and a $200 deposit and was told the work would be completed in 6 months. In July 2013 I called Mr. Hataway on the phone to check on the status of the work. He said he was behind on the work but that the ducks would be completed by the end of August. August came and went with no word from Hataway. Since then I have called numerous times with no response, I have been by his taxidermy shop/house with no one answering the door. I then sent a certified letter in April 2014 asking for a refund of my $200 deposit or at least a phone call to discuss the matter, which again, I got no response. Its been a year and a half since I paid him for the work and I have had no communication from him at all and no ducks. The last time I spoke to him at all was almost a year ago and I had to call him. Desired SettlementThe taxidermy work is obviously not going to get done. If he were planning on doing the actual work I would have heard back from him by now. I simply want my $200 deposit back.
