Review: On 2/3/2010 I purchase a 2005 GMC Canyon from Hatton Motors LLC. I saw a ad for it in AutoTrader for the price of $7950. At that time I also elected to pay around $950 for an extended 3 year warranty from them from Guardian Warranty Corporation. I was told at that time that they could not give me and documentation on the extended warranty but that I would receive the information in the mail. A few months later we called to use the warranty because of a wheel bearing that went bad (the same wheel bearing that was supposedly replaced when we purchase the vehicle). We were told that we did not have an extended warranty only the standard free 3 month/4500 warranty so we contacted Hatton Motors and they told us that we did not purchase it. The sales price of the truck on our contract shows the price of $10282.43 for the truck. That includes $995 that was still owed on our trade but does not include title, doc fees, etc. When we spoke to Hatton Motors they denied that we purchased the warranty and said the cost of the truck was not priced at $7950. The price charged for the truck would have been $10282.43 - 995 = 9287.43 which difference of $1337 of the advertised price. At the time of the purchase I was told that the difference was because of the cost of the warranty. When I spoke to them later they said that the truck was price higher and no warranty was purchased and I had no proof on the advertised price because the ad was no longer on Auto Trader. Recently I have been doing some "spring cleaning" and I have come across the email that I received and printed out from Bob English who I believe is the owner of Hatton Motors and is states the price of the truck as being $7950. I'm not quite sure why the difference is $1337 but I do not $950 of it was for a warranty that I purchased and never received.
