Review: I was have them do some gear replacement and was talked into doing a rear axle replacement. I agread to them doing the work and gave them money to get the parts. Three weeks later the got me on the schedule to get the work done. Finally after two weeks I got a call that it was done, but the mechanic needed to talk to me about a bad vibration that they couldn't explain. I drove it and it was horrible not even drivable as for as I'm concerned. I get home and pull the e brake because I live on a hill and it a 5 speed jeep and no brake. So me being a mechanic myself, just not with gear work, pulled the rear wheels to check. I was horrified by what I saw. The brake rotors where rusted bad and the parking brake assembly wasn't even put together! I found the parts in the pile of my old stuff they gave me and put it together and also bought and installed new rotors. While I was under it I saw the drive shaft bolts where not only way under sized they were loose! So I went and got new bolts. I called the shop and was irate. I mean someone could have been killed here. The drive shaft could have fell out and there's no e brake. Really! They said they would repair it but a this point I have no trust or faith in there workmanship. No way would I let my wife drive this after all it is here jeep.I called and left messages several times for the owner to call me with no call and now he's gone til the end of the month. Meanwhile I have purchased another rear axle and install myself and there's no vibration and I have a e brake. I just want my money back they can have there parts back and never here from me again. I seriously frustrated and str stressed over the whole thing.Desired Settlement: They can have there parts back and give me a refund

We worked on this customer's vehicle and performed the work requested. When he picked up his vehicle, we went over the work in detail with him. We explained that some of the parts that were on his vehicle when he brought it to as were not entirely compatible with his the new axe! setup and recommended an upgrade. He agreed, and we ordered these additional parts that he was to pay for.

When the parts arrived, we called him to come in so that we could complete the work. He ignored our phone, calls for several weeks. When we did get ahold of him, he indicated that his wife would not allow him to bring the vehicle back for the additional work, and he suddenly was unhappy with the work that had been performed, even though he had signed off on tile work order approving the work. We offered to fix any issues that he wanted corrected at no additional charge to him, and he agreed. This customer then never showed up for his appointment. Several weeks later, he began harassing our entire staff in a somewhat drunken manner, demanding his money back.

He has filed a chargeback with his credit card company, which we are disputing, as he still has ad of the parts in his possession and the labor was performed.

I beleive this company is mistaken there actions for mine. I had called them several times and was always told [redacted] was with a customer and never avaible. I waited for weeks to here back from them with no responce. I had signed off of the work done when I picked it up and was told it was done correctly except there was a unexplained vibration that wasent there before and that if I have any ideas or suggestions to let them know. Really? Isn't that what I paid them for? It wasn't til after I got home a started looking that I seen what a totally unprofessional' sloppy and dangerous job I had just paid them for. I was pretty upset with what I had just paid for. I don't drink!! for one and dont think its harassment to try and contact the owner of the company to discuss the issue. So with no responce from them I called my credit card compamy and filed a dispute. I also filed this with the Revdex.com to try and save someone else this headache or seriously hurt or worse.

I am rejecting this response because we have offered numerous times to correct the issues that this customer believes exists. He initially agreed to return to have the vehicle looked at and then failed to do so.

As far as not returning this customers phone calls, I was out of the country the first three weeks of September unavailable to take his calls. He could have spoken to my lead mechanic, which he also refused to do.

As I stated in my first reply, the labor was performed, the customer signed off on it, and all the parts that he paid for are still in his possession.

Hello,

I am rejecting this responce because first off if you [redacted] Hulk would have put as much effort in do doing the work or inspecting the work that's leaving your shop as you are making up lies about me, we would not be in this situation. To start off you informed me that this was a straight forward axle swap upgrade and your lead mechanic has done many of them. You priced everything and called me with a price of $1500 to do a gear swap or $1800 to do the complete axle swap. So for the extra $300 I decided to do the axle swap. I saved up the money dropped my wifes jeep off for the work to be done. Then I get a call when your done that its not quite right and I needed to spend another $500 to adjust the axle. In which it still has the vibration. Then after all the issues that I stated in my first letter you want me to spend another $400 for lower control arms and probably another $800 for a transfer case kit and new driveshaft. If Your lead mechanic has done so many of these then that should have been part of the original price and I would have said no and just done gears. My main issue besides the price doubling, Is the fact that it left your shop with all the saftey and potentially deadly issues. When I questioned your lead mechanic [redacted] about some issues before I even left I was lied to my face and You where right there. You also Lied to me about the brake lines on the replacment axle and the ones from my old axle where taken off and very poorly bend to the replacment axle, Really. Before I let you told me to check and see if I can figure out the vibration issue, which is what I did as soon as I got home. Thats where I was horrifed by what I saw and found and called you. Your mechanic came to look at it and agreed with me and stated if it was him he would have gone to the shop and beat up who ever did it. Not my style. I waited to here back from you and finally got ahold of you and asked that you come look at it because I didn't feel comfortble driving it. When you came I stated I would be embarrassed if this kind of work came from my shop and people saw it at a jeep event show. In which you stated that it's not a show vehicle, which after I told my wife that we took it to mean if it's not one of your show vehicles that the quality and safety of anyone else's vehicle doesn't matter. At that point I called to tell you she did not want you or anyone else there to touch her jeep and she just wants her money back and I would remove the parts for you to have back and [redacted] said you were with a customer and would call me right back. Over an hour later [redacted] called and I told him I needed to talk to you about the issue and now you were unavailible. After waiting and not hearing back from you for a few days, I called again and once again you were not avalible. A week later I called and now you are unavalible til the 23rd of the month. So in the mean time I removed your axle and retaining parts, bought a new one and had to replace all of the parts of mine that where not returned to me when I received my axle back, in pieces I might add. Finally I called again and talked to [redacted] and told him that I have the your parts and was going to bring them over and just get a refund, in which he said he didn't have the authority to do and once again I needed to talk to you but your were unavailible. I asked him to have you call me which he said I will tell him but I cant make him call you. That was the last straw so I contacted the Revdex.com and my credit cards and this is where we are. You still have yet to call me even now. At this time I've already spend over $1200 to remove your axle and replace place it and all my parts that you still have in your possession. Not to mention all of my time I have wasted. I'm happy to say that now there is no vibration and the regular brakes and emegancy brakes work and I can safely let my wife drive it again. I am tired of stressing about this issue and I'm through with this whole thing. As I told [redacted] your parts are availible if you ever contact me. I will not bad mouth you or your company because I hope you learned from this horrible mess, as I know have, but you will never get any of my business again. [redacted] ###-###-####
