Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to
complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not
resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed
appear below.
I was never told
that the estimate expired. When I called to schedule
the appointment I asked what my estimate was to make sure it was
still in effect and they told me it was $225.00; that was the day before they
came to do the work. Why did they not tell me right then and there that the
estimate had expired instead of waiting until I called in to complain that they
were not honoring their original quote?  I actual informed
them that I removed a small amount of the debris myself if they could
let me know if the price would go down; if I had added more I would
not want to bring attention to the size of pile.
There was
NOTHING added to the pile as there was nothing left to add. The green they
are speaking of was a small (6 inch by 3 feet) evergreen branch which
stays green forever. There is also ivy and grass growing up from under the pile so
that may also be the green they seen but I can tell you NOTHING was added to
that pile!! I actually had two or three campfires and we used that brush/vines
for the fire so some of it was removed as I stated to them on the phone.
The ONLY reason
the price went up is because I now had a Groupon which I paid $19 for
$100 value. I firmly believe the price went up due to the coupon
(Groupon). They were trying to offset the difference in what they lost by me buying the Groupon.
If it was an
incorrect bid as the representative stated to me on the phone; that is not my
fault. I feel they should honor their original bid as their employee
gave the bid in the 1st place.
 By accusing me
of lying and not honoring their mistake, they are showing to
have very poor business etiquette and therefore
will continue to take advantage of people in
the future as they are doing to me!
Regards,
[redacted]

The initial estimate was completed 4 weeks prior to booking the appointment. At the time our representative went out to give an estimate the bid was $225 to have the yard debris removed. The job was booked for 7/1 and one of our teams was sent out to the site. It was evident that more yard debris...

had been added to the pile since the original estimate was performed 4 week prior. The leaves on the yard debris were bright green, indicating that it had recently been cut and placed on the pile. If nothing had been added to the pile the leaves would have died and turned brown over those 4 weeks. The price for removing that pile, as it was, on 7/1 would have been $391 as per our rate sheet.

The client called to inform us that she was unhappy about the bid going up in price. We offered her a discounted rate of $300 in an attempt to rectify the situation. She was not satisfied with that discount.

She will be able to return the purchased coupon to Groupon. They will honor the return and refund her money in full.

Review: I had [redacted], one of their representatives come to my home to give me a quote for a job. A few weeks later I called and asked what my quote was to make sure I remembered correctly and it was the same quote - $225. I said ok, please schedule the job. The company sent a crew to do the job and called me and said the job is $391. I informed him that [redacted] quoted me $225. He said he could do it as low as $300 MAYBE but noway he could do it for the original price of $225. I told him no and called the company to try and see what they said. He said unfortunately the best price they could do was $300 and no lower. I asked them to honor their original price they quoted me and said this was poor business practice but they said no! They would lose money if they did that and [redacted] mis-quoted me initially. I said that is not my fault, he works for you and you not honoring the original quote is poor business practice. They refused to honor the original quote!! After I got the quote from [redacted], I went online and bought a Groupon to help pay the expenses for me. Now I am out the money I paid to Groupon!Desired Settlement: I want them to honor their original quote of $225 and remove the items they said they would remove for the price they originally said they would remove it for---$225!
