Review: [redacted] came to our home to talk to us about refinishing our existing kitchen cabinets on 8/**/13. He gave us a price of $4,800.00. We showed him a color stain we liked, and he took one of our cabinet doors. About a week later he came back with the door, which now had strips of 4 different color stains. He told us that he was going on vacation, and to live with the 4 swatches to decide which one we wanted. The agreement was that we give him $100.00, and when he returned from his 1 week vacation, he would come get the door and do it entirely in the color we selected. After not hearing from him for over 2 weeks, we started calling and leaving messages. After several days, he finally called us and we became aware of the fact that he had returned from vacation over a week ago. He said he had been very busy, and because he hadn't heard from us he booked other jobs, and couldn't get to us till the end of November. We left several more messages on his machine, with no response. Finally, my wife left a message sayin either do the job or return my $100.00. He finally called back and said "I ain't giving you anything. That was the end of it; and we want our $100.00 Back. On 9/**/13, we also filed a claim with [redacted], giving this company all F's. Thank You Very MuchDesired Settlement: Repay us our $100.00 for agreed service not performed.

Thursday, August [redacted], met with the homeowner to estimate refinishing their kitchen cabinets. The refinishing process, quality of work was discussed, before and after photos were viewed. A written proposal was provided. The homeowner said, they had another company create a sample on their cabinet door and they were unhappy with it. They requested I create a sample for them. I told them a custom sample costs $100.00 which would be deducted from job. They signed for a sample, I took their door.

Monday, August [redacted], returned to their home, presented custom door sample with four colors on the back, received payment of $100.00, they were not ready to sign the proposal. I told the homeowners I was going on vacation the next day August [redacted] thru the [redacted] and was closed for the Labor Day weekend.

Tuesday, September [redacted], homeowner requested I contact them.

Thursday, September [redacted], I called the homeowner she said our price was too high, our company was too small, she was concerned that there wasn't a full time office person and that maybe she shouldn't do business with us. I informed her that was within her rights.

Saturday, September [redacted], homeowner called, left a message that she would like to do the job.

Sunday, September [redacted] she called, left a message that if her call was not returned she wanted her $100.00 returned.

Monday, September [redacted], I called, told him the work could be scheduled for the first week of November. Homeowner said that the date was not good, that if I could not do his job right away he wanted the money back for the sample and that he was a retired police officer. I told him I am consistently committed two to three months in advance and sometimes longer. I reminded him of the terms of the sample cost.
