The new central A/C they install is defective and leaks freon. They won't answer the phone when I call or call back.I spent thousands on a new "energy efficient" central A/C unit. The first night the condenser unit started running sporadically without its fan turning on or the evaporator unit running, and most of the time the condenser unit releases freon when it shuts off (heard by a large hissing sound, which I have plenty of videos demonstrating this). Eventually, the unit stops blowing any cold air, or takes over 20 minutes of running before emitting any cold air, which I have videos showing for the temperature drop (and lack thereof) at the evaporator. The company which installed the unit said this is normal, and just requires me to shut the circuit breaker off for 5 minutes to let the unit "reset". This is utterly ridiculous and clearly a lie. They will not answer the phone when I call, nor will they return my call if I actually get to a voice mail box (most of the time the VM states "the box is full"). I have been trying for months. Because they will not answer, I have had two other companies come to recharge the system because it is leaking freon, which has cost me hundreds of dollars. Furthermore, I have now spent hundreds of dollars more in energy consumption versus the 15-year-old system they replaced; in other words, my energy consumption is higher than ever, instead of being the purportedly $100 or so monthly lower it was suppose to be. They also took an energy efficiency monetary credit (federal tax credit and/or [redacted] and [redacted] for installing the "energy-efficent" system, which, given the situation, should be illegal.Desired SettlementI want the condenser unit completely replaced with a brand new one, and furthermore, a complete freon recharged at no cost, so that the entire system is working as it should be for the next ten years and yielding energy savings. And I want this done within a week of intervention by the Revdex.com. Otherwise, I will be forced to sue. And if I am forced to go that route, I will sue for my complete money back for the unit they installed, as well as monetary damages to recoup the money that: (1) I had to spend paying other companies for the freon recharging and service visit charges; (2) for the increased energy expenditure due to the defective system; (3) for time spent trying to call the company, and for the time taken off of work waiting at home for the other service companies to come to my house. I will also report them to the IRS and FPL for fraud associated with the "energy" credits they took.
