Review: On 8/**/15 we were celebrating at a private room at the Havana Central restaurant at the [redacted] with 9 people. The bill came out to $380.** with an automatic gratuity of $70 which was **%. I gave them my credit card and proceeded to collect $50 from the other 9 people who were splitting the bill. I then decided that it would be better to pay with the cash that I collected instead of my credit card. We left the money and told the waiter to cancel the credit card and I took the merchant copy of the original bill, which I had not signed. A few days later we realized that the restaurant had charged us the $450 on the credit card as well as taking the cash. I then contacted the catering manager and explained the situation of the double charge and she advised me it will be investigated. A few week later after numerous phone calls with no answer, I went with my husband to the restaurant and spoke with the head manager there. She informed me that the investigation was over. They had viewed the video and saw me counting and and leaving the money on the table but they had concluded that it was for a $1** tip. I requested to see a copy of the video and was denied. They had concluded that we had left a $1** tip in cash, in addition to the credit card transaction which was for $450.** and had already included a ** percent tip of $70. Its ridiculous that they concluded that the cash we left was for $1** tip, which would be in addition to the $70 tip that was already included on the credit card charge. By this reasoning, it would be $180 tip for a $380 meal, which we did not leave. They proceeded to tell us that this is all that they can do and the investigation was over. I then filed a police report and was told that this was a civil matter. I then proceeded to contact the headquarters of Havana Central and got in contract with their vice president, Phil C[redacted], who told me it would be better to set up an appointment with him to speak in person at the the [redacted] in a few weeks. At the meeting, after hearing my situation he apologized and told me that he would rectify the situation and refund the charges and will find a way to compensate me for all the trouble I've had to go through. I waited a few days and contacted him and he told me that it was in the process of being resolved. After another few weeks, I sent him an email and numerous text messages with no answer or reply.Desired Settlement: I would like my $450.20 refunded as promised and would also like an apology and to be compensated for my trouble that I've had to go through. We have eaten there before numerous times and have always enjoyed it before this situation and hope that the problem will be rectified.
