Failure of Haven Behavioral Hospital to return personal clothing at time of discharge of younger brother Kenneth *** (who was patient)-discharge date 11-21- Haven officials stated they would return clothing in short time as probably in laundry After weeks of phone calls requesting info on missing clothing still no info regarding the clothing-only promises to call back in few days with info Haven has been very difficult to get a return phone call concerning this clothing situation but also during Kenneth's stay

Horrible for both elderly and adult high-functioning patients! Nurses said they are "so sick of being around these psychos"That was Sunday (5-20-18) between 4AM and 5AM (I couldn't sleep because of the slamming doors and noise, which is every night)Never get our medications on time, wait for hours for clothes/towels to showerShort staffed, no one available to helpBags of personals pile up behind their desk or in the clothing roomCut up my pants due to strings on them, WITHOUT asking, and after I had already worn them there the day beforeGroups are not helpful because the low-functioning keep interrupting (which isn't their fault, but it doesn't give us time to talk)I've had two elderly men and two elderly women come into my room without permission because they were lost/dementia, once when my roommate was in the showerThe staff does not keep an eye on the low-functioning patients or do their head counts every minutes like they are supposed toOne woman used my bathroom and then just stood in the showerAnother woman, (5-21-around 8PM), pooped her pants and laid down next to my roommates bed on the floorShe was there for at least an hourShe was throwing my roommates things at the staffThey cleaned our room but I found bits of poop still stuck to the floor, and it smelled all nightOne man continuously goes into people's rooms and opens doorsI have complained to staff but no one will watch himThis same man had pooped on himself in the hallway and tried to take his pants offThen he layed down on the floor, and I reported it to staff so they could help him, but they said "I wish these people would quit overreacting"The first two days I was there, there was a phone time list posted for when patients could use the phoneIt got taken downThen I noticed when people were asking to use the phones at meal times (which was the original listed time), they were being deniedWhen I first got here on Thursday (5-17-18), my mom and I were told that my mom could call later that night to check on me since I was pretty emotional leaving herI went to lay down in my room, a technician came in and looked at me, I waved, and she closed the doorI assumed it was a check-inAn hour later, I ask the front desk if my mom called and they said yesI asked to call my mom, and my mom told me when she called, she asked how I was doing and the nurse just said really quickly "She's fine", without checking on meSo my mom asked to talk to me and they told her I was sleepingI was told this morning (Monday) that a patient advocate representative and Claudia (some head honcho lady) would come talk to me about my grievancesNo one came to check on me all day, or the day afterAnother patient told me she was laying down in her room, staff came in to clean, and thought she was sleepingShe heard them talk *** about her, so she waited until they left, went to the desk, and told them to their faces that she heard everything they saidNo apology was givenA patient told me the last time they were there, staff changed her medications right before her dischargeThis happened to me as wellAnother patient has seizures and was worried about not getting them on time and having one right there in the hall, because she had been waiting on her anti-seizure medicine for an hour alreadyAnother patient told me he woke up from multiple nightmares, went to the desk and asked staff if they forgot to give him one of his medicationsThe nurse looked on his chart and said, "Oh yeah, your nightmare medication", and the patient said "No ***! I had 10+ nightmares already!"You are never allowed outside

I would like a $check given to me to cover the cost of items the hospital took from me, but never returned
I was a patient at the hospital for a few days the first week of March Two items were taken by me from the hospital staff but never returned I have been informed by hospital staff that the $reimbursement check is "on the way," but I have yet to receive it
