Hawa Hair Supply

Review: I went to Hawa Hair Supply to have my hair braided. This was my third visit to her shop within the past year. The first 2 experiences were exemplary, but the third visit last Tuesday, October 22, 2013 was in a word "terrible." Hawa, the owner did not begin my hair but instead had an unknown person to me begin to take out my old braids, in order to replace them with new ones.The two of them, Hawa, and the other person, began to braid my hair similtaneously, one on one side and one on the other side of my head.Four hours later from the start they had completed the braiding. I was so shocked when I looked in the mirror because my brown scalp was showing between these tiny braids that they had put in my head. They were micros! I never requested micros. Hawa previously told me that I did not grow sufficient hair follicles for micros. I told her right away that It was disturbing but she tried to convince me that it would be ok. I paid my fee that was charged of 190 dollars, but I was so distracted, that I failed to get a receipt. But as I recall when other came in, I never saw Hawa the owner provide receipts to any of her clients.I let her know that evening that I was not pleased, and she begrudingly fixed the top, but not the sides, or back. I called her that evening because I felt that it needed to be filled in more. I never have my scalp showing with braids. I have tried to reach her since the visas and she has acknowledged the receipt of my text messages. However although I have implored her to help me because it looks so bad but Hawa will not set up an appointment. She only acknowledged, "Yes" through a text message that she has received my detailed text messages regarding my concern. At this point I believe my only recourse is to request a refund because now I am not comfortable having her work on my head or patronizing her shop anymore due to the way she has ignored my plea for help in correcting my hair style that she assumed I wanted. Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund of 150 dollars.
