Dear Ms***,
I received your complaint through the Revdex.com earlier this week and want to thank you for bringing it to my attentionI have researched this matter as well as gone over things with my Director of Operations concerning your complaintMy Director of Operations did speak with you on Tuesday, March 18th at 3:54pm about this situation and I believe explained what had happened as well as took steps to rectify the situationThe explanation as to what happened is simpleAt check in the card is authorized for the full amount of your stay which originally was for five nights at $plus tax per night which totals $Then at checkout the card gets charged for the actual payment, which in your case was $for a total of $Within 3-days of checkout the authorization is releasedThere is a sign posted at the front desk that states this specifically for our guests who use debit cards so they are prepared that at check in that the card is authorized and at check out the card is chargedWhen you called on March 18th and spoke to my Director of Operations he did call and got the authorized amount of $released back to your card immediately so you would not have to wait the 3-business daysI apologize that you feel that the steps he took to try to correct the problem for you did not take care of the issueI also will agree that when this matter was brought to the front desk's attention it should have been handled a little differentlyI will handle that with my front desk staff.
I feel we have two options hereAs far as compensation, since the funds that were authorized have already been released back to your card and the only actual charge was for the nights you actually stayed, I am willing to take one of the rooms you have reserved for next year and make it complimentary for one night of your stayI see you have already made reservations with us and I can take care of that right now for youIf this is not satisfactory as compensation to you then I would suggest you cancel your room reservations for next year with the Parkway Plaza and book your rooms elsewhere.
