To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to the rebuttal of *** ***I want to start that we are a small Business Owner that rely's on our repeat customer's to keep our Business in businessWe have always strived that when the customer comes in we try to make their vehicle look better than newWe are proud of our employees and their commitment to do not a satisfactory job, but a job that they are proud of
We have customers that pay out of their pocket to have their car fixed and we have
customers that have the Insurance pay for their repairsWith that being said this was an Insurance paying job
The passenger doors the customer keeps referring to that did not match, were not on the INSestimateWe know that when we paint panels that their Is always the chance it will not match, and this is why we always blend the panels next to itAs I said the INS did not have this on the estimateBut as I said before the customer was here after the vehicle was painted, and on a weekly basis and never mentioned this, as WE also did not noticeBut once It was brought to our attention, the doors were painted, and did match to their satisfactionThis vehicle was an all over paint and repair on panels which is very time consuming
We also replaced the right headlamp assembly that was called for on the estimate and the other had repair timeWe did both! And customer was not satisfied with other mirror so we replaced it toAfter Ins said to repair
The customer states in his rebuttal that the vehicle had mostly sheet metal damage, yet we are being put to blame for a shimmy in his front end and motor issuesAnd the customer stated that I said the tire was replaced, I completely take responsibility on the mistake of using the word tire when it was a wheel that was replaced not a tireWe tad the customer that *** who did their mount and balance and alignment did not have a high speed balancer and that is why we took it to *** *** and they ran it on the machine and found nothing!
We are a Body shop that can repair and replace most thingsIn some instances as for engine problems and wheel alignments we are not equipped with these itemsThat is why we had to sublet this work out to business's that were qualified to do thisAs for the Shimy in the front end the customer had the vehicle at *** ** *** who they praise for their work! Why could they not fix it or diagnose it either? We just again spoke to the Insurance Company again last week and was asked to pay for another alignment because the customer was still not happy, and we gladly agreed if it would satisfy the customer
As for the recording of any conversation, we were never aware of this and I thought that you were to be told when you were being recordedAnd the customer was outside with an employee going over the truck damage, so none of this was brought to my attention
As for everything being fixed, everything was done on our partWe did all that we can and then some to satisfy Mr***We cannot understand why we continue to be called liars, and that we did not fix the vehicle when we did everything we were suppose to doAnd we did it right! I have no answers as to why we keep being harrassed by him posting absurd things on Craigslist and other sitesThe Insurance Cois aware that we did everything, and wants us to pay for another alignment just to appease the customerThe only other thing that we (Ins Co.) could conclude is that the tires have been worn*** ***'s son even said that he brought the vehicle here because our Auto Body Tech was the best?
As far as the check goes the customer gave us the check to weeks after the vehicle had been here and we would not have released the vehicle to him until it was paid in fullNo Shop would have
We have done everything possible to appease the customer, and will have to say this is a first for usThank you again for our opportunity to tell our sideAs a small Business Owner we
strive to make our customers happy so they will continue to use us as their local Body Shop
Sincerely,
*** *** Business owner

This letter is in response to the complaint of [redacted] on the 2008 Toyota Tundra. The customer was a friend of an employee of our business and after the Insurance company had written an estimate the customer shopped around for better prices. Anyhow we received the Insurance estimate for a total of $12,265.78 and as of this date we have only been paid $11,765.78. We are aware of Insurance laws so everything on the estimate was done, and as we ran into additional repair that was not on the original estimate we ordered additional parts etc. Now keep in mind the customer was here every week checking on the vehicle and watching the progress. Once all work was completed the customer picked the vehicle up and called the following week saying a mirror had a scuff and the doors on passenger side did not match. This was not on the estimate, but we in no way argued the point and agreed to paint the doors and replace the mirror. The customer was completely happy with the outcome of the paint and to have the mirror replaced. They also complained the vehicle engine light was on and the tire sensors. One tire had been replaced, and after the business of our choice replaced it they also replaced the wheel sensor, and did an alignment on the vehicle. We then took the vehicle to Toyota to find out the reasoning for the engine light and was informed that the air pump was full of oil. So this would be $1500.00 plus to repair, and I immediately called the Insurance Co and ask for permission and was told no, because they did not think it was accident related. I talked to [redacted], because the original adjuster was away on vacation. So after I told the customer that the Insurance Co denied the supplement it all went down hill from there. I have talked to 5 adjusters from the Insurance Co and have supplied them with invoices for all that we are being accused of not doing. The customer also was shown the invoices from what he was complaining about. To be honest this customer has been a nightmare and has called all of us liars (even after showing invoices and going to the places that did the tires and alignment and reaffirming that they did do these things) and has personally called me names that I am offended of. This truck had a recall on

this part and the customer knows this, as well as the Insurance Co. I feel we have had our name tarnished from his rants on Facebook and Craigslist (yes craigslist, he was selling our business for $5) and personal attacks. I quite honestly am afraid of this man after the names and things he has said. So I have asked him not to return to our property. We legitly did our part on this vehicle and also before and after pictures, and feel like Toyota is not even going to satisfy him. The customer still owes us a $500.00 deductible that I am sure we will have to hire an attorney for plus the Insurance Co still owes for all the extra work we did.
Thank you for the opportunity to tell our side of the story. Our family business has been in business since the late 70's and have always satisfied our customers.

Sincerely,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am responding to g&j autobody  and the claim with Revdex.com of indiana : I want to start out by saying they had to have the ins. money up front to buy parts not a good move for the customer. They said I was there weekly ---yes I was because after the first month the ins. stopped paying for a loaner car  it took better than 2 months to finish.they did call and say it was done ,I think just to see what we would accept--we first noticed the 2 passenger doors did not match the rest of the truck ---the 2 doors was all that wasn't painted on the whole truck---it was not on the ins. estimate becaused the doors matched before it was painted. they  agreed the doors did not match, the mirror with the deep gouges would have to be replaced  and also the front lights would be repaired or replaced, because that was on the estimate and not done. the truck only has  35,000 miles and looked brand new before this accident. the wreck was only my vehickle --i was forced off the highway at about 60 mph---went through a fence through an embankment and then through some brush--   skinned my truck all over  , causing mostly sheetmetal  damage. we never left the lot except to drive on the highway to check the front end alighment, after driving I immediately took allen with me to drive again on the hway so he could see for himself how it performed, did the same   shimmed and the steering wheel shook bad at 60-65mph---this was after they said the had fixed it ---yes  i went to [redacted]   the place wher they said they had it fixed..I talked to the manager who told me he was told to replace a rim that was bent ---no tire as is stated in  g&j reply---he told me he could not balance the tires because he did not have high speed balancer  which these required.we got on the phone with g&j  he told them the same.It still does the vibration at 60 -65 mph the steering wheel vibrates bad looks to me like they did all they said and there is still a problem it means something else is wrong it is not right.
in regards to  my  $500.00 deductible   ---i recorded our conversation on my iphone where they agreed to  forget about it to get the job.Toyota did replace the air pump at their expence it  was a recall  item.
I thought that my truck would be fixed and returned with nothing else wrong ---they would take care of everything --that of course did not happen--i am left to  fix what they lied about and did not fix.The front end is still not fixed
