Hawg Wild Auto Sales Reviews (2)

Great vehicles with a reasonable price their sale manager was very nice and helpful and finding me and vehicle I will be back for my upgrade

My daughter graduated from High School in May of 2016. She saved all her graduation money and purchased a car from a couple she knew. The car only has 50,000 miles on it. A couple of months after she got the car she noticed gas leaking around the tank. She took her car to Hawg Wild Auto Sales because they were an acquaintance of hers and she was told they work on cars.
After having the car a week she was told by Hawg Wild (Brett) that they replaced all the fuel lines and it looked like she needed a new fuel pump. Also, during this time she was told they had to fire a previous mechanic that worked on her car at their shop because he did something wrong on her car. We purchased a used fuel pump which I thought used meaning "rebuilt" I was wrong. I paid $275 for the used pump and labor. The very next day she heard a knocking noise and sent her car back to be looked at. Hawg Wild-Brett ([redacted]) said it's a used pump and that's the price you pay when you purchase a used pump. He also said nothing was wrong with it and to fill the tank up. The car broke down a week later and it was towed back to Hawg Wild. We were told once again it was the fuel pump and this time we purchased a new one. My daughter was told that we didn't have to pay for the labor only the part and they found one on Amazon for $275. It took a week again to get repaired and I went to pick the car up and [redacted] (Brett) wasn't there. His mechanic was there and said it was going to be $355. I told the mechanic that we were quoted another price and I was going to call Brett. Brett didn't answer his phone so the mechanic called from his cell phone and Brett answered at that time. I spoke with Brett and he was EXTREMELY RUDE. He said I was going to pay for the labor, that anywhere else I would've had to pay for the labor, and that he wasn't going to take a loss. Before he HUNG up on me he yelled GOD BLESS!!!! I wrote a check out for $355 on 9/27/16 and paid.
On 10/28/16 my daughter broke down again. I called another tow truck to come get it and I had it towed to Firestone in Jacksonville. I paid $100 diagnostic fee and they said the fuel pump wasn't getting pressure from the fuel. So then I had the car towed to Hawg Wild again. I spoke to Brett's wife and told her what was going on and she said that I needed to speak to Brett. Brett answered the phone and I was very polite. I said who I was and he said "WHAT" and hung the phone up on me. I then called back and his voicemail box was full and he didn't answer. At that time I called my mother to let her know what was going on. She got Brett to answer and he said he would look at the fuel pump and he said it just needed fuel. He said he put $5 in the gas tank and everything was fine. We went and picked the car up and again Brett and his wife were not there. The mechanic told my daughter he put $10 in the car (which we were told $5) she paid him $10 and we drove the car home. I then took her car and filled it up. We have a video of gasoline pouring on the ground from under her car. Nothing stayed in the tank.
We now have her car at another mechanic. I do not ever recommend anyone doing business with these people.
