6/26/15 I moved my Uverse service from [redacted] to [redacted] because my 83 year old Mother was released from the hospital and needed my care. The tech, on his own tied in to the phone line and the easist way to resolve and bundle it with uverse which I did not want , only tv and internet is what I requested on my installation ticket. On 7/13/15 I was able to move back to [redacted] and had uverse disconnected at [redacted] and the phone was suppose to be connected after uverse went into service originally on 7/20/15, then was moved to 7/16/15/ Neither of these dates was the phone at [redacted] with the 83 year old turned back on. We have talked numerous times with AT&T with getting no action, until finally, it was to be turned on 7/29/15. Guess what? Again it did not happen and now we are given 8/7/15 date just to turn the phone on. The phone at [redacted] XXX-XXX-XXXX had been at that address for approximately 40 years. Uverse and AT&T need to work together. I find it appalling as many times as we have spoken to AT&T and explained that an 83 year old woman is living alone with no phone that someone cannot do something. The customer service with AT&T is as ignorant as I have heard in such a long time. They cannot use their brain but sounds as if they are only reading from a manual. Asking to speak with a supervisor got us nowhere, it seems the customer service rep believes the supervisor will also repeat what they had to tell us and would never transfer us to a supervisor. We have called all the numbers listed on the phone bill from AT&T and transferred no telling how many times. We have been given phone numbers to call by AT&T that again, end up getting no result. If this address did not need a land line, I assure you, I would not bother with AT&T again. One of the customer service reps even wanted my Mother to start over as a new customer and was asking her credit information. This error is all on AT&T and someone needs to pull their head out of a dark place and take care of their customers. While I am at it, when my service went back to [redacted], I had all my equipment and only needed service turned on. I was told someone HAD to come out for this.WELL, funny thing, I connected the tv's I wanted to be able to watch and to save time for installation day. The morning my Uverse was to be re-installed, something was done because I just turned on the tv's and wow I had channels and internet. So actually nobody needed to come out, except I did bundle the Uverse phone at [redacted]. Again I thought what is those customer service reps are. Why would they tell me I have to wait a week for tv and internet for someone to come to my home, when actually, in reality that was a LIE. I am disgusted with AT&T and in the future would never recommend it to anyone, although until this, I have recommended to all friends and family. AT&T/Uverse technology is #1 in my book but customer service is at the bottom of the totem pole.
