Review: I took my designer wedding gown to the Haymarket cleaners Charlottesville store to be cleaned. They told me to come back in 4 days. I went back in 6 and they told me that they didn't have it ready because wedding dresses take longer to clean. I was told to come back the next afternoon. They did not bother to call me once to tell me that the dress wasn't ready and I made the long trip to their store unnecessarily twice. Finally, the third time, it was ready but the lady at the store told me that in order to dry clean the very expensive and (sentimentally valuable gown), they had to cut the decorative flowers off and then sew them back on! Without consulting me, they cut my dress then sewed the flowers back on with shoddy exposed stitching, ripping some netting in the process. The flowers were not in the same place as before and a couple of them hung sloppily off of the dress. The stitching was unprofessional and the integrity of the design was ruined. The clerk at the Charlottesville store was extremely rude and unhelpful and the next day, I had to drive the dress from Charlottesville to Culpepper to show the manager, but he refused to claim any damage and wanted $95 for the job. I insisted that since the work on the dress was done without my consent (no one called or told me on my two visits to the store that they planned to cut my dress apart) and that since their damage disclaimer and written policies did not provide for such damage, I should not have to pay for the service. He demanded payment and in order to get my dress back, I complied. Overall shoddy service and disrespect of personal property, especially of something as precious and sentimental as a wedding gown.Desired Settlement: $95 refund for cleaning$12 reimbursement for gas costs driving round trip to Culpeper store

After speaking with the translator from the company [redacted] on 7/22/13 she stated that the [redacted] stated she would provide a refund to the customer in the amount of $[redacted] which is half the asking price.
